and said, I beseech thee, Jehovah, God of the heavens, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and keep his commandments.

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם (שָּׁמַ֔יִם) sha.Ma.yim “heavens”

but if ye return to me, and keep my commandments and do them, though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heavens, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ (שָּׁמַ֙יִם֙) sha.Ma.yim “heavens”

And the king said to me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of the heavens.

הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ (שָּׁמָֽיִם) sha.Ma.yim “heavens”

And I answered them, and said to them, The God of the heavens, he will prosper us, and we his servants will arise and build; but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial in Jerusalem.

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם (שָּׁמַ֔יִם) sha.Ma.yim “heavens”

Thou art the Same, thou alone, Jehovah, who hast made the heaven of heavens, and all their host, the earth and all that is therein, the seas and all that is therein. And thou quickenest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

And thou camest down on mount Sinai, and didst speak with them from the heavens, and gavest them right judgments and true laws, good statutes and commandments.

מִשָּׁמָ֑יִם (שָּׁמָ֑יִם) sha.Ma.yim “heaven”

And thou gavest them bread from the heavens for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and didst say to them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.

And their children thou didst multiply as the stars of heaven, and thou broughtest them into the land concerning which thou didst say to their fathers that they should go in to possess it.

הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם (שָּׁמָ֑יִם) sha.Ma.yim “heavens”

And thou gavest them into the hand of their oppressors, and they oppressed them; and in the time of their distress, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from the heavens, and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their oppressors.

But when they had rest, they did evil again before thee; and thou didst leave them in the hand of their enemies, and they had dominion over them; and again they cried unto thee, and thou heardest [ergänzt: them] from the heavens, and many times didst thou deliver them, according to thy mercies.

While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped, alone, to tell thee.

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם (שָּׁמַ֔יִם) sha.Ma.yim “heavens”

And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice and wept. And they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward the heavens.

הַשָּׁמָֽיְמָה׃ (שָּׁמָֽיְמָ) sha.Ma.ye.ma “heavens”

Who alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the high waves of the sea;

שָׁמַ֣יִם sha.Ma.yim “[the] heavens”

[ergänzt: It is as] the heights of heaven; what wilt thou do? deeper than Sheol; what canst thou know?

שָׁ֭מַיִם Sha.ma.yim “[the] heavens”

But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowl of the heavens, and they shall tell thee;

הַ֝שָּׁמַ֗יִם (שָּׁמַ֗יִם) sha.Ma.yim “heavens”

So man lieth down, and riseth not again; till the heavens be no more, they do not awake, nor are raised out of their sleep.

שָׁ֭מַיִם Sha.ma.yim “heaven”

Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones, and the heavens are not pure in his sight:

וְ֝שָׁמַ֗יִם (שָׁמַ֗יִם) sha.Ma.yim “[the] heavens”

Even now, behold, my Witness is in the heavens, and he that voucheth for me is in the heights.

בַשָּׁמַ֣יִם (שָּׁמַ֣יִם) sha.Ma.yim “heavens”

Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds,

לַשָּׁמַ֣יִם (שָּׁמַ֣יִם) sha.Ma.yim “heavens”

The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, and the earth shall rise up against him.

שָׁמַ֣יִם sha.Ma.yim “[the] heavens”

Is not +God in the height of the heavens? And behold the summit of the stars: how exalted are they!

שָׁמָ֑יִם sha.Ma.yim “heaven”

Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh on the vault of the heavens.

The pillars of the heavens tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.

שָׁמַ֣יִם sha.Ma.yim “heaven”

By his Spirit the heavens are adorned; his hand hath formed the fleeing serpent.

שָׁמַ֣יִם sha.Ma.yim “[the] heavens”

For it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and concealed from the fowl of the heavens.
