and they gave them the city of refuge for the slayer, Shechem and its suburbs in mount Ephraim; and Gezer and its suburbs,

הָרֹצֵ֛חַ (רֹצֵ֛חַ) ro.Tze.ach “killer”

And to the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of half the tribe of Manasseh, [ergänzt: they gave] the city of refuge for the slayer, Golan in Bashan and its suburbs; and Beeshterah and its suburbs: two cities;

and out of the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge for the slayer, Kedesh in Galilee, and its suburbs; and Hammoth-Dor and its suburbs, and Kartan and its suburbs: three cities.

and out of the tribe of Gad, the city of refuge for the slayer, Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs; and Mahanaim and its suburbs,

And the Levite, the husband of the woman who was murdered, answered and said, "I came to Gib'e-ah that belongs to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to spend the night.

הַנִּרְצָחָ֖ה (נִּרְצָחָ֖ה) nir.tza.Chah “murdered”

And thou shalt speak unto him saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him saying, Thus saith Jehovah: In the place where the dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall the dogs lick thy blood, even thine.

הֲרָצַ֖חְתָּ (רָצַ֖חְתָּ) ra.Tzach.ta “have you murdered”

And Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him. And [ergänzt: the king] sent a man before him. Before the messenger came to him, he himself said to the elders, Do ye see how this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? See, when the messenger comes; shut the door, and keep him off with the door: is not the sound of his master's feet behind him?

The murderer riseth with the light, killeth the afflicted and needy, and in the night is as a thief.

רוֹצֵ֗חַ ro.Tze.ach “a murderer”

How long will ye assail a man; will ye [ergänzt: seek], all of you, to break him down as a bowing wall or a tottering fence?

תְּרָצְּח֪וּ te.ra.tze.Chu “you will be murdered”

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless,

יְרַצֵּֽחוּ׃ ye.ra.Tze.chu “they murder”

The sluggard saith, There is a lion without, I shall be killed in the streets!

אֵֽרָצֵֽחַ׃ 'E.ra.Tze.ach “I will be killed”

How is the faithful city become a harlot! It was full of judgment; righteousness used to lodge in it, but now murderers.

מְרַצְּחִֽים׃ me.ra.tze.Chim “murderers”

What? steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not ...

רָצֹ֙חַ֙ ra.Tzo.ach “will you murder?”

Swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, -- they break out; and blood toucheth blood.

וְרָצֹ֥חַ (רָצֹ֥חַ) ra.Tzo.ach “murdering”

And as troops of robbers lie in wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way of Shechem; yea, they commit lewdness.

יְרַצְּחוּ־ ye.ra.tze.chu- “they murder”
