While they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.

וְסָרִיסֵ֥י (סָרִיסֵ֥י) sa.ri.Sei “[the] eunuchs of”

Then said Harbonah, one of the chamberlains that were before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman hath made for Mordecai, who spake good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. And the king said, Hang him thereon.

הַסָּרִיסִ֜ים (סָּרִיסִ֜ים) sa.ri.Sim “eunuchs”

And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, whom thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

Neither let the foreigner, that hath joined himself to Jehovah, speak, saying, Jehovah will surely separate me from his people; neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

For thus saith Jehovah of the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and hold fast my covenant:

לַסָּֽרִיסִים֙ (סָּֽרִיסִים֙) sa.ri.Sim “eunuchs”

(after that Jeconiah the king, and the queen-mother, and the eunuchs, [ergänzt: and] the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the craftsmen, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem,)

וְהַסָּרִיסִ֜ים (סָּרִיסִ֜ים) sa.ri.Sim “court-officials”

the princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, that passed between the parts of the calf;

Now when Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, a eunuch, who was in the king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon (the king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin,)

Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, [ergänzt: to wit], the men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought back from Gibeon:

and out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war; and seven men of them that saw the king's face, that were found in the city; and the scribe of the captain of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.

And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring in [ergänzt: certain] of the children of Israel, even of the seed royal and of the nobles;

And the prince of the eunuchs gave names unto them: unto Daniel he gave [ergänzt: the name of] Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, [ergänzt: of] Shadrach; and to Mishael, [ergänzt: of] Meshach; and to Azariah, [ergänzt: of] Abed-nego.

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king's dainties, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Now God made Daniel to find kindness and compassion in the sight of the prince of the eunuchs.

הַסָּרִיסִֽים׃ (סָּרִיסִֽים) sa.ri.Sim “officials”

And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your food and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse looking than the youths that are of your own age? so would ye endanger my head with the king.

Then said Daniel to the steward whom the prince of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

הַסָּֽרִיסִ֔ים (סָּֽרִיסִ֔ים) sa.ri.Sim “officials”

And at the end of the days which the king had appointed for bringing them in, the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
