These are the countries which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.

נִחַ֥ל ni.Chal “he gave as a possession”

And these are the countries which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them.

נָחֲל֥וּ na.cha.Lu “they inherited”נִֽחֲל֜וּ ni.cha.Lu “they gave as a possession”

So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

וַיִּנְחֲל֥וּ (יִּנְחֲל֥וּ) i.yin.cha.Lu “they received their inheritance”

Because the daughters of Manasseh had an inheritance among his sons: and the rest of Manasseh's sons had the land of Gilead.

נָחֲל֥וּ na.cha.Lu “they inherited”

Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon: for the part of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them.

וַיִּנְחֲל֥וּ (יִּנְחֲל֥וּ) i.yin.cha.Lu “they received their inheritance”

When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them:

לִנְחֹל־ (נְחֹל) n.chol- “divide for possession”

These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.

And Gilead's wife bare him sons; and his wife's sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father's house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.

תִנְחַ֣ל tin.Chal “you will have an inheritance”

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them.

יַנְחִלֵ֑ם (יַנְחִלֵ֑) yan.chi.Le “he makes inherit”

Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.

וְהִנְחַלְתֶּ֛ם (הִנְחַלְתֶּ֛ם) hin.chal.Tem “you will give [it] as inheritance”

So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.

הָנְחַ֣לְתִּי ha.ne.Chal.ti “I have been allotted”

The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

יִנְחָל֑וּהָ (יִנְחָל֑וּ) yin.cha.Lu. “they will inherit”

Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

תִ֝נְחַ֗ל tin.Chal “you have an inheritance”

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

נָחַ֣לְתִּי na.Chal.ti “I have inherited”

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

יִנְחָ֑לוּ yin.Cha.lu “they will inherit”

That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

לְהַנְחִ֖יל (הַנְחִ֖יל) han.Chil “give as an inheritance”

He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

יִנְחַל־ yin.chal- “he will inherit”

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

יַנְחִ֥יל yan.Chil “he leaves an inheritance to”

The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

נָחֲל֣וּ na.cha.Lu “they inherit”

Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

יִנְחֲלוּ־ yin.cha.lu- “they will inherit”

And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

וְהִֽתְנַחֲל֣וּם (הִֽתְנַחֲל֣וּ) hit.na.cha.Lu “they will receive as an inheritance”

Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

לְהַנְחִ֖יל (הַנְחִ֖יל) han.Chil “give as inheritance”

When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;

יִנְחַל־ yin.chal- “he will inherit”

In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

הִנְחַ֖לְתִּי hin.Chal.ti “I gave as an inheritance”

Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.
