Yahweh turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before.

לְמִשְׁנֶֽה׃ (מִשְׁנֶֽה) mish.Neh “double”

Instead of your shame [ergänzt: you shall have] double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them.

First I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things, and have filled my inheritance with their abominations.

Let them be disappointed who persecute me, but let not me be disappointed; let them be dismayed, but don't let me be dismayed; bring on them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

וּמִשְׁנֶ֥ה (מִשְׁנֶ֥ה) mish.Neh “double”

The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold:

הַמִּשְׁנֶ֑ה (מִּשְׁנֶ֑ה) mish.Neh “second rank”

Turn to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope! Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.
