The sons of Levi, heads of fathers' [ergänzt: houses], were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

לֵוִי֙ le.Vi “Levi”

O house of Levi, bless ye Jehovah: Ye that fear Jehovah, bless ye Jehovah.

הַ֭לֵּוִי (לֵּוִי) le.vi “Levites”

and the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok, who from among the sons of Levi come near to Jehovah to minister unto him.

the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;

And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant may be with Levi, saith Jehovah of hosts.

But ye are turned aside out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble in the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith Jehovah of hosts.

הַלֵּוִ֔י (לֵּוִ֔י) le.Vi “Levi”

and he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver; and they shall offer unto Jehovah offerings in righteousness.
