H3772I–כָּרַת–ka.rat

For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from his people.

וְנִכְרְתָ֖ה (נִכְרְתָ֖ה) nikh.re.Tah “it will be cut off”

And I will send the beast of the field among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your ways shall become desolate.

וְהִכְרִ֙יתָה֙ (הִכְרִ֙יתָה֙) hikh.Ri.tah “it will cut off”

'Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;

תַּכְרִ֕יתוּ takh.Ri.tu “you cut off”

But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people; because he brought not the offering of the LORD in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה (נִכְרְתָ֛ה) nikh.re.Tah “it will be cut off”

While the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the anger of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.

יִכָּרֵ֑ת yi.ka.Ret “it was chewed”

But the soul that doeth aught with a high hand, whether he be home-born or a stranger, the same blasphemeth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה (נִכְרְתָ֛ה) nikh.re.Tah “it will be cut off”

Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken His commandment; that soul shall utterly be cut off, his iniquity shall be upon him.

הִכָּרֵ֧ת׀ hi.ka.Ret “certainly <cut off>”תִּכָּרֵ֛ת ti.ka.Ret “it will be cut off”

Whosoever toucheth the dead, even the body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself--he hath defiled the tabernacle of the LORD--that soul shall be cut off from Israel; because the water of sprinkling was not dashed against him, he shall be unc

וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה (נִכְרְתָ֛ה) nikh.re.Tah “it will be cut off”

But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD; the water of sprinkling hath not been dashed against him: he is unclean.

וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה (נִכְרְתָ֛ה) nikh.re.Tah “it will be cut off”

When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest in to dispossess them, and thou dispossessest them, and dwellest in their land;

יַכְרִית֩ yakh.Rit “he will cut off”

When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou dost succeed them, and dwell in their cities, and in their houses;

יַכְרִ֞ית yakh.Rit “he will cut off”

For when the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land hear of it, they will compass us round, and cut off our name from the earth; and what wilt Thou do for Thy great name?'

וְהִכְרִ֥יתוּ (הִכְרִ֥יתוּ) hikh.Ri.tu “they will cut off”

And Joshua came at that time, and cut off the Anakim from the hill-country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the hill-country of Judah, and from all the hill-country of Israel; Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.

וַיַּכְרֵ֤ת (יַּכְרֵ֤ת) i.yakh.Ret “he cut off”

Behold, I have allotted unto you for an inheritance, according to your tribes, these nations that remain, from the Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun.

הִכְרַ֔תִּי hikh.Ra.ti “I have cut off”

And the hand of the children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.

הִכְרִ֔יתוּ hikh.Ri.tu “they cut off”

Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I acquired to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place; ye are witnesses this

יִכָּרֵ֧ת yi.ka.Ret “it will be cut off”

Yet will I not cut off every man of thine from Mine altar, to make thine eyes to fail, and thy heart to languish; and all the increase of thy house shall die young men.

And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands lay cut off upon the threshold; only the trunk of Dagon was left to hi

And David ran, and stood over the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw that their mighty man was dead, they fled.

but also thou shalt not cut off thy kindness from my house for ever; no, not when the LORD hath cut off the enemies of David every one from the face of the earth.'

תַכְרִ֧ת takh.Rit “you must cut off”בְּהַכְרִ֤ת (הַכְרִ֤ת) hakh.Rit “cuts off”

And the men of David said unto him: 'Behold the day in which the LORD hath said unto thee: Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thy hand, and thou shalt do to him as it shall seem good unto thee.' Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul

וַיִּכְרֹ֛ת (יִּכְרֹ֛ת) i.yikh.Rot “he cut off”

And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt.

Swear now therefore unto me by the LORD, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father's house.'

And the woman said unto him: 'Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that divine by a ghost or a familiar spirit out of the land; wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?'

And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry the tidings unto the house of their idols, and to the people.
