H3651C–כֵּן–ken

As the flock for sacrifice, as the flock of Jerusalem in her appointed feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

כֵּ֤ן ken “so”

Therefore prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, O my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.

לָכֵן֩ (כֵן֩) Khen “therefore”

Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In that day when my people Israel dwelleth securely, shalt thou not know it?

לָכֵן֙ (כֵן֙) Khen “therefore”

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name.

לָכֵ֗ן (כֵ֗ן) Khen “therefore”

And there were closed windows to the lodges, and to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the arches; and windows were round about inward; and upon [ergänzt: each] post were palm-trees.

וְכֵ֖ן (כֵ֖ן) Khen “thus”

And the side-chambers were broader as they encompassed [ergänzt: the house] higher and higher; for the encompassing of the house went higher and higher round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house [ergänzt: continued] upward; and so one went up [ergänzt: from] the lowest [ergänzt: chamber] to the highest by the middle [ergänzt: chamber].

כֵּ֥ן ken “-fore”וְכֵ֧ן (כֵ֧ן) Khen “thus”

For they were in three stories, and they had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore [ergänzt: the uppermost] was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.

כֵּ֣ן ken “-fore”

And the way before them was like the appearance of [ergänzt: the way of] the chambers which were toward the north; according to their length so was their breadth: and all their egresses were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.

כֵּ֣ן ken “[was] so”

Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and became a stumblingblock of iniquity unto the house of Israel; therefore have I lifted up my hand against them, saith the Lord Jehovah, and they shall bear their iniquity.

כֵּן֩ ken “-fore”

And so thou shalt do on the seventh [ergänzt: day] of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye make atonement for the house.

וְכֵ֤ן (כֵ֤ן) Khen “thus”

Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, that she shall not find her paths.

לָכֵ֛ן (כֵ֛ן) Khen “therefore”

Therefore will I take back my grain in the time thereof, and my new wine in the season thereof, and will pluck away my wool and my flax which should have covered her nakedness.

לָכֵ֣ן (כֵ֣ן) Khen “therefore”

Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.

לָכֵ֗ן (כֵ֗ן) Khen “therefore”

Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field and the birds of the heavens; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

כֵּ֣ן׀ ken “-fore”

As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me: I will change their glory into shame.

כֵּ֣ן ken “so”

They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinths, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters play the harlot, and your brides commit adultery.

כֵּ֗ן Ken “-fore”

Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are [ergänzt: as] the light that goeth forth.

כֵּ֗ן Ken “-fore”

The more [ergänzt: the prophets] called them, the more they went from them: they sacrificed unto the Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.

כֵּ֚ן ken “so”

Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the dew that passeth early away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing-floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.

לָכֵ֗ן (כֵ֗ן) Khen “therefore”

According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted: therefore have they forgotten me.

כֵּ֖ן ken “-fore”

The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so do they run.

כֵּ֥ן ken “so”

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

כֵ֗ן Khen “thus”

You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will visit upon you all your iniquities.

כֵּן֙ ken “-fore”

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An adversary [ergänzt: there shall be], even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be plundered.

לָכֵ֗ן (כֵ֗ן) Khen “therefore”

Thus saith Jehovah: As the shepherd rescueth out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel be rescued that sit in Samaria in the corner of a couch, and on the silken cushions of a bed.
