H3389–יְרוּשָׁלִַ֫ם, יְרוּשְׁלֵם–ye.ru.sha.laim

[ergänzt: to wit], Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings of it, and the princes of it, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Micah the Morashtite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus says Yahweh of Hosts: Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.

וִירוּשָׁלַ֙יִם֙ (ירוּשָׁלַ֙יִם֙) ru.sha.La.yim “Jerusalem”

and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah;

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

But if they be prophets, and if the word of Yahweh be with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don't go to Babylon.

וּבִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם (ירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn't take, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

מִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם (ירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”וִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ (ירוּשָׁלִָֽם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

yes, thus says Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:

וִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ (ירוּשָׁלִָֽם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the residue of the elders of the captivity, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people, whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon,

מִירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם (ירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”מִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם (ירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

(after that Jeconiah the king, and the queen-mother, and the eunuchs, [ergänzt: and] the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the craftsmen, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem),

וִירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם (ירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”מִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ (ירוּשָׁלִָֽם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Thus says Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel, to all the captivity, whom I have caused to be carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon:

מִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם (ירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Hear you therefore the word of Yahweh, all you of the captivity, whom I have sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon.

מִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם (ירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Thus speaks Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because you have sent letters in your own name to all the people who are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֔ם (ירוּשָׁלִַ֔ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Now at that time the king of Babylon's army was besieging Jerusalem; and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah's house.

יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the deeds, and seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the hill-country, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South: for I will cause their captivity to return, says Yahweh.

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Thus says Yahweh: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, about which you say, It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

In the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks again pass under the hands of him who numbers them, says Yahweh.

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is [ergänzt: the name] by which she shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness.

וִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם (ירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth that were under his dominion, and all the peoples, were fighting against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of it, saying:

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֛ם ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,

בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ (ירוּשָׁלִָֽם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

when the king of Babylon's army was fighting against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish and against Azekah; for these [ergänzt: alone] remained of the cities of Judah [ergänzt: as] fortified cities.

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם ye.Ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people who were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty to them;

בִּירֽוּשָׁלִַ֔ם (ירֽוּשָׁלִַ֔ם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

the princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, who passed between the parts of the calf;

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

But it happened, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians; so we dwell at Jerusalem.

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ (ירוּשָׁלִָֽם) ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

Thus says Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel: Go, and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will you not receive instruction to listen to my words? says Yahweh.

יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם ye.ru.sha.Lim “Jerusalem”

therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.
