Therefore do the Jews of the villages, that dwell in the unwalled towns, make the fourteenth day of the month Adar [ergänzt: a day of] gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.

לְחֹ֣דֶשׁ (חֹ֣דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “[the] month”

to enjoin them that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,

לְחֹ֣דֶשׁ (חֹ֣דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “[the] month”

as the days wherein the Jews had rest from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to gladness, and from mourning into a good day; that they should make them days of feasting and gladness, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.

וְהַחֹ֗דֶשׁ (חֹ֗דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “month”

Seeing his days are determined, The number of his months is with thee, And thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

חֳדָשָׁ֥יו (חֳדָשָׁ֥י) cho.da.Sha “months”

For what careth he for his house after him, When the number of his months is cut off?

חֳדָשָׁ֣יו (חֳדָשָׁ֣י) cho.da.Sha “months”

It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

בַּחֹ֥דֶשׁ (חֹ֥דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “month”

a wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind in her desire; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

בְּחָדְשָׁ֖הּ (חָדְשָׁ֖) cha.de.Sha “month”

And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of Jehovah, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

בַּחֹ֖דֶשׁ (חֹ֖דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “month”

So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

Now it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, that all the people in Jerusalem, and all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem, proclaimed a fast before Jehovah.

Now the king was sitting in the winter-house in the ninth month: and [ergänzt: there was a fire in] the brazier burning before him.

And it came to pass when Jerusalem was taken, (in the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and besieged it;

בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ (חֹ֣דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “month”

in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, a breach was made in the city,)

Now it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal and [ergänzt: one of] the chief officers of the king, and ten men with him, came unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and there they did eat bread together in Mizpah.

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it round about.

In the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, who stood before the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem:

וּבַחֹ֤דֶשׁ (חֹ֤דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “month”לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ (חֹ֔דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “month”

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the [ergänzt: first] year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison;

Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [ergänzt: month], in the fifth [ergänzt: day] of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

In the fifth [ergänzt: day] of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,

לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ (חֹ֑דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “month”

And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth [ergänzt: month], in the fifth [ergänzt: day] of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord Jehovah fell there upon me.

And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth [ergänzt: month], the tenth [ergänzt: day] of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Jehovah, and sat before me.

Again, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth [ergänzt: day] of the month, the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first [ergänzt: day] of the month, that the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ (חֹ֑דֶשׁ) Cho.desh “month”

In the tenth year, in the tenth [ergänzt: month], in the twelfth [ergänzt: day] of the month, the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
