Therefore by this shall the iniquity of Jacob be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, [ergänzt: so that] the Asherim and the sun-images shall rise no more.

וְזֶ֕ה (זֶ֕ה) Zeh “this”

Nay, but by [ergänzt: men of] strange lips and with another tongue will he speak to this people;

הַזֶּֽה׃ (זֶּֽה) Zeh “this”

Wherefore hear the word of Jehovah, ye scoffers, that rule this people that is in Jerusalem:

הַזֶּ֔ה (זֶּ֔ה) Zeh “this”

And all vision is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee; and he saith, I cannot, for it is sealed:

זֶ֑ה Zeh “this”

and the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee; and he saith, I am not learned.

זֶ֑ה Zeh “this”

And the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw nigh [ergänzt: unto me], and with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which hath been taught [ergänzt: them];

הַזֶּ֔ה (זֶּ֔ה) Zeh “this”

therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

הַזֶּ֖ה (זֶּ֖ה) Zeh “this”

Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely thereon;

הַזֶּ֑ה (זֶּ֑ה) Zeh “this”

therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly in an instant.

הַזֶּ֔ה (זֶּ֔ה) Zeh “this”

and thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it; when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

זֶ֤ה zeh “this”

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

הַזֶּ֖ה (זֶּ֖ה) Zeh “this”

Behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust on him.

הַזֶּה֙ (זֶּה֙) Zeh “this”

But if thou say unto me, We trust in Jehovah our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?

הַזֶּ֖ה (זֶּ֖ה) Zeh “this”

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of contumely; for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

הַזֶּ֑ה (זֶּ֑ה) Zeh “this”

this is the word which Jehovah hath spoken concerning him: The virgin daughter of Zion hath despised thee and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.

זֶ֣ה zeh “this”

And this shall be the sign unto thee: ye shall eat this year that which groweth of itself, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

וְזֶה־ (זֶה) zeh- “this”

And this shall be the sign unto thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do this thing that he hath spoken:

Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in thy house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith Jehovah.

הַזֶּ֖ה (זֶּ֖ה) Zeh “this”

One shall say, I am Jehovah's; and another shall call [ergänzt: himself] by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto Jehovah, and surname [ergänzt: himself] by the name of Israel.

Thus saith Jehovah, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, wherewith I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities were ye sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away.

Come ye, [ergänzt: say they], I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to-morrow shall be as this day, [ergänzt: a day] great beyond measure.

כָזֶה֙ (זֶה֙) Zeh “this”

Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a rush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Jehovah?

הֲכָזֶ֗ה (זֶ֗ה) Zeh “this”הֲלָזֶה֙ (זֶה֙) Zeh “this”

Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

זֶה֮ zeh “[is] this”

Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

זֶ֣ה׀ zeh “this”זֶ֚ה zeh “this one”

Thus saith Jehovah, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will ye build unto me? and what place shall be my rest?

זֶ֥ה zeh “this”זֶ֥ה zeh “this”
