And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,

הִנֵּ֤ה hi.Neh “here!”

And he came unto his father, and said, My father. And he said, Here am I. Who art thou, my son?

הִנֶּ֔נִּי (הִנֶּ֔נִּ) hi.Ne. “here [am]”

And he said, Is not he rightly name Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two time. He took away my birthright. And, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?

וְהִנֵּ֥ה (הִנֵּ֥ה) hi.Neh “here!”

And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, of the fatness of the earth shall be thy dwelling, And of the dew of heaven from above.

הִנֵּ֞ה hi.Neh “there!”

And the words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah. And she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, [ergänzt: purposing] to kill thee.

הִנֵּה֙ hi.Neh “here!”

And he dreamed. And behold, a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

וְהִנֵּ֤ה (הִנֵּ֤ה) hi.Neh “there!”וְהִנֵּה֙ (הִנֵּה֙) hi.Neh “there!”

And, behold, Jehovah stood above it, and said, I am Jehovah, the God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac. The land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed.

וְהִנֵּ֨ה (הִנֵּ֨ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee, whithersoever thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land. For I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

וְהִנֵּ֨ה (הִנֵּ֨ה) hi.Neh “here!”

And he looked, and behold, a well in the field, and, lo, three flocks of sheep lying there by it. For out of that well they watered the flocks. And the stone upon the well's mouth was great.

וְהִנֵּ֧ה (הִנֵּ֧ה) hi.Neh “there!”וְהִנֵּה־ (הִנֵּה) hi.neh- “there!”

And he said unto them, Is it well with him? And they said, It is well. And, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep.

וְהִנֵּה֙ (הִנֵּה֙) hi.Neh “there!”

And it came to pass in the morning that, behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? Did not I serve with thee for Rachel? Wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?

וְהִנֵּה־ (הִנֵּה) hi.neh- “there!”

And she said, Behold, my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; that she may bear upon my knees, and I also may obtain children by her.

הִנֵּ֛ה hi.Neh “here!”

And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as beforetime.

וְהִנֵּ֥ה (הִנֵּ֥ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And it came to pass at the time that the flock conceive, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the he-goats which leaped upon the flock were ringstreaked, speckled, and grizzled.

וְהִנֵּ֤ה (הִנֵּ֤ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And the angel of God said unto me in the dream, Jacob: and I said, Here am I.

הִנֵּֽנִי׃ (הִנֵּֽנִ) hi.Ne. “here [am]”

And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold the pillar, which I have set betwixt me and thee.

הִנֵּ֣ה׀ hi.Neh “here!”וְהִנֵּה֙ (הִנֵּה֙) hi.Neh “here!”

then thou shalt say [ergänzt: They are] thy servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, he also is behind us.

וְהִנֵּ֥ה (הִנֵּ֥ה) hi.Neh “there!”

and ye shall say, Moreover, behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept me.

הִנֵּ֛ה hi.Neh “there!”

And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau was coming, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.

וְהִנֵּ֣ה (הִנֵּ֣ה) hi.Neh “there!”

These men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for, behold, the land is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters.

הִנֵּ֥ה hi.Neh “there!”

for, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves came round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

וְ֠הִנֵּה (הִנֵּה) hi.neh “there!”וְהִנֵּ֛ה (הִנֵּ֛ה) hi.Neh “there!”וְהִנֵּ֤ה (הִנֵּ֤ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed yet a dream: and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars made obeisance to me.

הִנֵּ֨ה hi.Neh “here!”וְהִנֵּ֧ה (הִנֵּ֧ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And Israel said unto Joseph, Are not thy brethren feeding the flock in Shechem? Come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I.

הִנֵּֽנִי׃ (הִנֵּֽ) hi.Ne. “here [am]”

And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?

וְהִנֵּ֥ה (הִנֵּ֥ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

הִנֵּ֗ה hi.Neh “there!”
