H2009–הִנֵּה–hin.neh

And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up unto Jehovah to Mizpah? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabesh-gilead to the assembly.

וְ֠הִנֵּה (הִנֵּה) hi.neh “there!”

For when the people were numbered, behold, there were none of the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead there.

וְהִנֵּ֤ה (הִנֵּ֤ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And they said, Behold, there is a feast of Jehovah from year to year in Shiloh, which is on the north of Beth-el, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Beth-el to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah.

הִנֵּה֩ hi.Neh “here!”

and see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in the dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.

וְ֠הִנֵּה (הִנֵּה) hi.neh “there!”

And she said, Behold, thy sister-in-law is gone back unto her people, and unto her god: return thou after thy sister-in-law.

הִנֵּה֙ hi.Neh “there!”

And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, Jehovah be with you. And they answered him, Jehovah bless thee.

וְהִנֵּה־ (הִנֵּה) hi.neh- “there!”

And now is not Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to-night in the threshing-floor.

הִנֵּה־ hi.neh- “there!”

And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself; and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.

וְהִנֵּ֣ה (הִנֵּ֣ה) hi.Neh “there!”

Now Boaz went up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the near kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.

וְהִנֵּ֨ה (הִנֵּ֨ה) hi.Neh “there!”

Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not be an old man in thy house.

הִנֵּה֙ hi.Neh “here!”

And Jehovah said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.

הִנֵּ֧ה hi.Neh “here!”

And when he came, lo, Eli was sitting upon his seat by the wayside watching; for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city, and told it, all the city cried out.

וְהִנֵּ֣ה (הִנֵּ֣ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of Jehovah. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.

וְהִנֵּ֣ה (הִנֵּ֣ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of Jehovah; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands [ergänzt: lay] cut off upon the threshold; only [ergänzt: the stump of] Dagon was left to him.

וְהִנֵּ֣ה (הִנֵּ֣ה) hi.Neh “there!”

and they said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

הִנֵּה֙ hi.Neh “here!”

And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is a man that is held in honor; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can tell us concerning our journey whereon we go.

הִנֵּה־ hi.neh- “here!”

Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we?

וְהִנֵּ֣ה (הִנֵּ֣ה) hi.Neh “here!”

And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have in my hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.

הִנֵּה֙ hi.Neh “here!”

And they answered them, and said, He is; behold, [ergänzt: he is] before thee: make haste now, for he is come to-day into the city; for the people have a sacrifice to-day in the high place:

הִנֵּ֣ה hi.Neh “there!”

And they went up to the city; [ergänzt: and] as they came within the city, behold, Samuel came out toward them, to go up to the high place.

וְהִנֵּ֤ה (הִנֵּ֤ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And when Samuel saw Saul, Jehovah said unto him, Behold, the man of whom I spake to thee! this same shall have authority over my people.

הִנֵּ֤ה hi.Neh “here!”

And the cook took up the thigh, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And [ergänzt: Samuel] said, Behold, that which hath been reserved! set it before thee and eat; because unto the appointed time hath it been kept for thee, for I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.

הִנֵּ֤ה hi.Neh “here!”

When thou art departed from me to-day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre, in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found; and, lo, thy father hath left off caring for the asses, and is anxious for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?

וְהִנֵּ֨ה (הִנֵּ֨ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt-offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace-offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come unto thee, and show thee what thou shalt do.

וְהִנֵּ֤ה (הִנֵּ֤ה) hi.Neh “there!”

And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a band of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came mightily upon him, and he prophesied among them.

וְהִנֵּ֥ה (הִנֵּ֥ה) hi.Neh “there!”
