I [ergänzt: am for] peace; but when I speak, *they* [ergänzt: are] for war.

הֵ֝֗מָּה He.mah “they”

for they shall be a garland of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

הֵ֬ם hem “they”

And these lay wait for their own blood; they lurk secretly for their own lives.

וְ֭הֵם (הֵם) hem “they”

For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

הֵ֭ם hem “they”

The words of a talebearer are as dainty morsels, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

וְ֝הֵ֗ם (הֵ֗ם) Hem “they”

All the brethren of a poor [ergänzt: man] hate him; how much more do his friends go far from him: he pursueth [ergänzt: them] with words, -- they are not [ergänzt: to be found].

הֵֽמָּה׃ He.mah “they”

There are three [ergänzt: things] too wonderful for me, and four that I know not:

There are four [ergänzt: things] little upon the earth, and they are exceeding wise:

There are three [ergänzt: things] which have a stately step, and four are comely in going:

הֵ֭מָּה He.mah “they”

All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full: unto the place whither the rivers go, thither they go again.

הֵ֥ם hem “they”

I said in my heart, It is thus with the children of men, that God may prove them, and that they should see that they themselves are but beasts.

שְׁהֶם־ (הֶם) hem- “they”הֵ֖מָּה He.mah “they”

Then I praised the dead who are already dead more than the living who are yet alive;

הֵ֥מָּה He.mah “they”

Only see this which I have found: that God made man upright, but they have sought out many devices.

וְהֵ֥מָּה (הֵ֥מָּה) He.mah “they”

Turn away thine eyes from me, For they overcome me. Thy hair is as a flock of goats On the slopes of Gilead.

שֶׁ֥הֵ֖ם (הֵ֖ם) Hem “they”

There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, And virgins without number:

הֵ֙מָּה֙ he.mah “they”

Hear, [ergänzt: ye] heavens, and give ear, [ergänzt: thou] earth! for Jehovah hath spoken: I have nourished and brought up children; and they have rebelled against me.

וְהֵ֖ם (הֵ֖ם) Hem “they”

Manasseh, Ephraim, and Ephraim, Manasseh; [ergänzt: and] they together are against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.

הֵ֖מָּה He.mah “they”

These shall lift up their voice, they shall shout for the majesty of Jehovah, they shall cry aloud from the sea.

הֵ֛מָּה He.mah “they”

For Egypt shall help in vain, and to no purpose; therefore have I named her, Arrogance, that doeth nothing.

הֵ֖ם hem “they”

It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and shouting: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.

הֵ֛מָּה He.mah “they”

and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; and they have destroyed them.

הֵ֗מָּה He.mah “they”

And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

וְהֵ֥מָּה (הֵ֥מָּה) He.mah “they”

In those days Hezekiah was sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, Thus saith Jehovah: Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

הָהֵ֔ם (הֵ֔ם) Hem “those”

They that form a graven image are all of them vanity, and their delectable things are of no profit; and they are their own witnesses: they see not, nor know; -- that they may be ashamed.
