H1419A–גָּדוֹל–ga.dol

And in that day, saith Jehovah, there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and a wailing from the second quarter, and a great crashing from the hills.

גָּד֖וֹל ga.Dol “great”

The great day of Jehovah is near, it is near and hasteth greatly, [ergänzt: even] the voice of the day of Jehovah; the mighty man crieth there bitterly.

הַגָּד֔וֹל (גָּד֔וֹל) ga.Dol “great”

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of Jehovah by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

הַגָּד֖וֹל (גָּד֖וֹל) ga.Dol “great”

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of Jehovah their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as Jehovah their God had sent him; and the people did fear before Jehovah.

הַגָּד֜וֹל (גָּד֜וֹל) ga.Dol “great”

And Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work on the house of Jehovah of hosts, their God,

Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying,

הַגָּד֑וֹל (גָּד֑וֹל) ga.Dol “great”

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith Jehovah; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith Jehovah, and work: for I am with you, saith Jehovah of hosts,

The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, saith Jehovah of hosts; and in this place will I give peace, saith Jehovah of hosts.

So the angel that talked with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

גְדוֹלָֽה׃ ge.do.Lah “great”

And I am very sore displeased with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.

גָּדוֹל֙ ga.dOl “great”

And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

הַגָּד֔וֹל (גָּד֔וֹל) ga.Dol “great”

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee; for they are men that are a sign: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.

הַגָּד֗וֹל (גָּד֗וֹל) ga.Dol “great”

Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [ergänzt: thou shalt become] a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it.

הַגָּד֛וֹל (גָּד֛וֹל) ga.Dol “great”

yea, take [ergänzt: of them] silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;

הַגָּדֽוֹל׃ (גָּדֽוֹל) ga.Dol “great”

Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which Jehovah of hosts had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets: therefore there came great wrath from Jehovah of hosts.

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.

גְדוֹלָ֑ה ge.do.Lah “great”גְדוֹלָ֖ה ge.do.Lah “great”

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the mount of Olives shall be cleft in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, [ergänzt: and there shall be] a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

גְּדוֹלָ֣ה ge.do.Lah “great”

For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name [ergänzt: shall be] great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense [ergänzt: shall be] offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name [ergänzt: shall be] great among the Gentiles, saith Jehovah of hosts.

But cursed be the deceiver, who hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a blemished thing; for I am a great King, saith Jehovah of hosts, and my name is terrible among the Gentiles.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of Jehovah come.
