H1389I–גִּבְעָה–giv.ah

and say, Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Jehovah: thus saith the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the water-courses and to the valleys: Behold, I, [ergänzt: even] I, do bring a sword upon you, and will destroy your high places.

וְלַגְּבָע֜וֹת (גְּבָע֜וֹת) ge.va.'ot “hills”

And ye shall know that I [ergänzt: am] Jehovah, when their slain shall be among their idols, round about their altars, upon every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick terebinth, the places where they offered sweet savour to all their idols.

גִּבְעָ֨ה giv.'Ah “hill”

When I had brought them into the land which I had lifted up my hand to give unto them, then they saw every high hill and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering; and there they placed their sweet savour, and there poured out their drink-offerings.

My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill, and my sheep have been scattered upon all the face of the earth, and there was none that searched, or that sought for them.

And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season: there shall be showers of blessing.

גִּבְעָתִ֖י (גִּבְעָתִ֖) giv.'a.T “hill”

and I will fill his mountains with his slain. In thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy water-courses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

גִּבְעוֹתֶ֤יךָ (גִּבְעוֹתֶ֤י) giv.'o.Tei. “hills”

therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Jehovah. Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the water-courses and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes and to the cities that are forsaken, which are become a prey and a derision to the remnant of the nations that are round about,

וְלַגְּבָע֜וֹת (גְּבָע֜וֹת) ge.va.'ot “hills”

Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains and to the hills, to the water-courses and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the ignominy of the nations;

וְ֠לַגְּבָעוֹת (גְּבָעוֹת) ge.va.'ot “hills”

they sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oak and poplar and terebinth, because the shade thereof is good; therefore your daughters play the harlot and your daughters-in-law commit adultery.

הַגְּבָעוֹת֙ (גְּבָעוֹת֙) ge.va.'Ot “hills”

And the high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up upon their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us! and to the hills, Fall on us!

וְלַגְּבָע֖וֹת (גְּבָע֖וֹת) ge.va.'ot “hills”

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the water-courses of Judah shall flow with waters; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of Jehovah, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

וְהַגְּבָעוֹת֙ (גְּבָעוֹת֙) ge.va.'Ot “hills”

Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, when the ploughman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop new wine, and all the hills shall melt.

הַגְּבָע֖וֹת (גְּבָע֖וֹת) ge.va.'ot “hills”

But it shall come to pass in the end of days [ergänzt: that] the mountain of Jehovah's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and the peoples shall flow unto it.

מִגְּבָע֑וֹת (גְּבָע֑וֹת) ge.va.'ot “[the] hills”

Hear ye now what Jehovah saith: Arise, contend before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.

הַגְּבָע֖וֹת (גְּבָע֖וֹת) ge.va.'ot “hills”

The mountains quake before him, and the hills melt, and the earth is upheaved at his presence, and the world, and all that dwell therein.

וְהַגְּבָע֖וֹת (גְּבָע֖וֹת) ge.va.'ot “hills”

He stood, and measured the earth; He beheld, and discomfited the nations; And the eternal mountains were scattered, The everlasting hills gave way: His ways are everlasting.

גִּבְע֣וֹת giv.'ot “hills of”

And in that day, saith Jehovah, there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish-gate, and a howling from the second [ergänzt: quarter], and a great crashing from the hills.
