if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, doing nothing that is wrong; he shall certainly live, he shall not die.

לְבִלְתִּ֖י (בִלְתִּ֖י) vil.Ti “not”

And he said unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass-offering, and the sin-offering, [ergänzt: and] where they shall bake the oblation, that they bring them not out into the outer court, so as to hallow the people.

And all Israel have transgressed thy law, even turning aside so as not to listen unto thy voice. And the curse hath been poured out upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God: for we have sinned against him.

And he shall turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many; but a captain for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease: he shall turn it upon him, without reproach for himself.

Will a lion roar in the forest when he hath no prey? Will a young lion cry out of his den if he have taken nothing?
