H0974–בָּחַן–ba.chan

And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.

וּבְחַנְתִּ֖ים (בְחַנְתִּ֖י) ve.chan.Ti “I will test”כִּבְחֹ֣ן (בְחֹ֣ן) v.Chon “tests”

Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough [ergänzt: to receive it].

וּבְחָנ֤וּנִי (בְחָנ֤וּ) ve.cha.Nu. “test”

And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are built up; yea, they tempt God, and escape.

בָּחֲנ֛וּ ba.cha.Nu “they have tested”
