Behold, they are all vanity, their works are nought, their molten images are wind and emptiness.

אֶ֖פֶס 'E.fes “[are] nothing”

-- that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the going down, that there is none beside me. I [ergänzt: am] Jehovah, and there is none else;

Thus saith Jehovah: The wealth of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall walk after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall bow down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, [ergänzt: saying,] Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, no other God. ...

אֶ֥פֶס 'E.fes “there not”

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I [ergänzt: am] God, and there is none else.

אַפְסֵי־ 'af.sei- “[the] ends of”

Remember the former things of old; for I [ergänzt: am] God, and there is none else; [ergänzt: I am] God, and there is none like me;

וְאֶ֥פֶס (אֶ֥פֶס) 'E.fes “there not”

And now hear this, thou voluptuous one, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thy heart, It is I, and there is none but me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know loss of children:

וְאַפְסִ֣י (אַפְסִ֣) 'af.S “only”

For thou hast confided in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath seduced thee; and thou hast said in thy heart, It is I, and there is none but me.

וְאַפְסִ֥י (אַפְסִ֥) 'af.S “only”

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there, and Assyria oppressed them without cause;

בְּאֶ֥פֶס (אֶ֥פֶס) 'E.fes “nothing”

Jehovah hath made bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

אַפְסֵי־ 'af.sei- “[the] ends of”

Behold, they shall surely gather together, [ergänzt: but] not by me: whosoever gathereth together against thee shall fall because of thee.

אֶ֖פֶס 'E.fes “not”

Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of distress, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and they shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited falsehood [ergänzt: and] vanity; and in these things there is no profit.

מֵֽאַפְסֵי־ (אַפְסֵי) 'af.sei- “[the] ends of”

And through his cunning shall he cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he will magnify [ergänzt: himself] in his heart, and by prosperity will corrupt many; and he will stand up against the Prince of princes: but he shall be broken without hand.

וּבְאֶ֥פֶס (אֶ֥פֶס) 'E.fes “not”

And a man's uncle, and he that should burn him, shall take him up to bring out the bones from the house, and shall say unto him that is in the inner parts of the house, Is there yet [ergänzt: any] with thee? and he shall say, None. And he will say, Silence! for we may not make mention of Jehovah's name.

אָ֑פֶס 'A.fes “no”

Behold, the eyes of the Lord Jehovah are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth: only that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith Jehovah.

אֶ֗פֶס 'E.fes “nevertheless”

And he shall stand and feed [ergänzt: his flock] in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah his God. And they shall abide; for now shall he be great even unto the ends of the earth.

אַפְסֵי־ 'af.sei- “[the] ends of”

This is the rejoicing city that dwelt in security, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none else beside me: how is she become a desolation, a couching-place for beasts! Every one that passeth by her shall hiss, shall wave his hand.

וְאַפְסִ֣י (אַפְסִ֣) 'af.S “only”

And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle-bow shall be cut off. And he shall speak peace unto the nations; and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.
