The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots flash with steel in the day of his preparation, and the cypress [ergänzt: spears] are brandished.

And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with lamps; and I will punish the men that are settled on their lees, that say in their heart, Jehovah will not do good, neither will he do evil.

הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים (אֲנָשִׁ֗ים) 'a.na.Shim “people”

Her prophets are light and treacherous persons; her priests have profaned the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee; for they are men that are a sign: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: In those days [ergänzt: it shall come to pass], that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.
