H0559–אָמַר–a.mar

And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?

וָאֹמַר֙ (אֹמַר֙) 'o.Mar “I said”

Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

לֵאמֹֽר׃ (אמֹֽר) Mor “saying”

Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, are they to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Retire far from the LORD: to us is this land given in possession.

אָמְר֨וּ 'a.me.Ru “they said”

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

אֱמֹ֗ר 'e.Mor “say”אָמַר֮ 'a.Mar “he says”

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

The word of the LORD also came to me, saying,

לֵאמֹֽר׃ (אמֹֽר) Mor “saying”

And in the morning came the word of the LORD to me, saying,

לֵאמֹֽר׃ (אמֹֽר) Mor “saying”

Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to thee, What doest thou?

אָמְר֥וּ 'a.me.Ru “have they said”

Say thou to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD, This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.

אֱמֹ֣ר 'e.Mor “say”אָמַ֖ר 'a.Mar “he says”

Say, I am your sign: as I have done, so shall it be done to them: they shall remove and go into captivity.

אֱמֹ֖ר 'e.Mor “say”

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

לֵאמֹֽר׃ (אמֹֽר) Mor “saying”

And say to the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with solicitude, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ (אָמַרְתָּ֣) 'a.mar.Ta “you will say”אָמַר֩ 'a.Mar “he says”

And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

לֵאמֹֽר׃ (אמֹֽר) Mor “saying”

Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

לֵאמֹ֑ר (אמֹ֑ר) Mor “saying”

Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say to them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.

אֱמֹ֣ר 'e.Mor “say”אָמַר֮ 'a.Mar “he says”

Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

לֵאמֹֽר׃ (אמֹֽר) Mor “saying”

Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are distant.

אֹֽמְרִ֔ים 'o.me.Rim “[are] saying”

Therefore say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be further deferred, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.

אֱמֹ֣ר 'e.Mor “say”אָמַר֙ 'a.Mar “he says”

And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

לֵאמֹֽר׃ (אמֹֽר) Mor “saying”

Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou to them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;

וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ (אָֽמַרְתָּ֙) 'a.mar.Ta “you will say”

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

אָמַר֙ 'a.Mar “he says”

They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

הָאֹֽמְרִים֙ (אֹֽמְרִים֙) 'o.me.Rim “[who] say”

Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it, although I have not spoken?

אֲמַרְתֶּ֑ם 'a.mar.Tem “have you said?”וְאֹֽמְרִים֙ (אֹֽמְרִים֙) 'o.me.Rim “[you were] saying”

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.

אָמַר֙ 'a.Mar “he says”

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and lo, others daubed it with untempered mortar:

לֵאמֹ֥ר (אמֹ֥ר) Mor “saying”
