H0490–אַלְמָנָה–al.ma.nah

He that despoileth the barren that beareth not, and doeth not good to the widow:

וְ֝אַלְמָנָ֗ה (אַלְמָנָ֗ה) 'al.ma.Nah “a widow”

Those that remain of him shall be buried by death, and his widows shall not weep.

וְ֝אַלְמְנֹתָ֗יו (אַלְמְנֹתָ֗י) 'al.me.no.Ta “widows”

The blessing of him that was perishing came upon me, and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.

אַלְמָנָ֣ה 'al.ma.Nah “a widow”

If I have withheld the poor from [ergänzt: their] desire, or caused the eyes of the widow to fail;

אַלְמָנָ֣ה 'al.ma.Nah “a widow”

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

אַלְמָנ֑וֹת 'al.ma.Not “widows”

Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows made no lamentation.

וְ֝אַלְמְנֹתָ֗יו (אַלְמְנֹתָ֗י) 'al.me.no.Ta “widows”

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless,

אַ֭לְמָנָה 'Al.ma.nah “[the] widow”

Let his sons be fatherless, and his wife a widow;

אַלְמָנָֽה׃ 'al.ma.Nah “a widow”

Jehovah preserveth the strangers; he lifteth up the fatherless and the widow; but the way of the wicked doth he subvert.

וְאַלְמָנָ֣ה (אַלְמָנָ֣ה) 'al.ma.Nah “widow[s]”

Jehovah plucketh up the house of the proud; but he establisheth the boundary of the widow.

אַלְמָנָֽה׃ 'al.ma.Nah “a widow”

learn to do well: seek judgment, gladden the oppressed, do justice to the fatherless, plead for the widow.

thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves; every one loveth presents, and hunteth after rewards; they judge not the fatherless, and the cause of the widow cometh not unto them.

אַלְמָנָ֖ה 'al.ma.Nah “a widow”

Therefore the Lord will not rejoice in their young men, neither will he have mercy on their fatherless and on their widows; for every one is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.

אַלְמְנֹתָיו֙ (אַלְמְנֹתָי) 'al.me.no.Ta “widows”

to turn away the poor from judgment, and to take away the right from the afflicted of my people; that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

אַלְמָנוֹת֙ 'al.ma.nOt “widows”

And jackals shall cry to one another in their palaces, and wild dogs in the pleasant castles. And her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

בְּאַלְמנוֹתָ֔יו (אַלְמנוֹתָ֔י) 'al.m.no.Ta “palaces”

And now hear this, thou voluptuous one, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thy heart, It is I, and there is none but me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know loss of children:

אַלְמָנָ֔ה 'al.ma.Nah “a widow”

[ergänzt: if] ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed no innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt;

וְאַלְמָנָה֙ (אַלְמָנָה֙) 'al.ma.Nah “[the] widow”

Their widows are increased to me more than the sand of the seas; I have brought upon them, against the mother of the young men, a spoiler at noonday; I have caused anguish and terror to fall upon her suddenly.

אַלְמְנֹתָיו֙ (אַלְמְנֹתָי) 'al.me.no.Ta “widows”

Therefore give up their children to the famine, and deliver them over to the power of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of children and be widows; and let their men be swept off by death, their young men be smitten by the sword in battle.

וְאַלְמָנ֔וֹת (אַלְמָנ֔וֹת) 'al.ma.Not “widows”

Thus saith Jehovah: Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor; and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place.

וְאַלְמָנָ֤ה (אַלְמָנָ֤ה) 'al.ma.Nah “widow”

Leave thine orphans, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.

וְאַלְמְנֹתֶ֖יךָ (אַלְמְנֹתֶ֖י) 'al.me.no.Tei. “widows”

How doth the city sit solitary [ergänzt: that] was full of people! She that was great among the nations is become as a widow; the princess among the provinces is become tributary!

כְּאַלְמָנָ֑ה (אַלְמָנָ֑ה) 'al.ma.Nah “a widow”

We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.

כְּאַלְמָנֽוֹת׃ (אַלְמָנֽוֹת) 'al.ma.Not “widows”

And he knew their [ergänzt: desolate] palaces, and he laid waste their cities, so that the land was desolate, and all it contained, by the noise of his roaring.

In thee have they made light of father and mother; in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger; in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.
