Now also, when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not, until I have proclaimed thine arm unto [ergänzt: this] generation, thy might to every one that is to come.

Give not up the soul of thy turtle-dove unto the wild beast; forget not the troop of thine afflicted for ever.

Oh let not the oppressed one return ashamed; let the afflicted and needy praise thy name.

Forget not the voice of thine adversaries: the tumult of those that rise up against thee ascendeth continually.

I said unto the boastful, Boast not; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

אַל־ 'al- “may not”אַל־ 'al- “may not”

Lift not up your horn on high; speak not arrogantly with a [ergänzt: stiff] neck.

אַל־ 'al- “may not”

Remember not against us the iniquities of [ergänzt: our] forefathers; let thy tender mercies speedily come to meet us: for we are brought very low.

O God, keep not silence; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God:

אַל־ 'al- “[let] not”אַל־ 'al- “may not”וְאַל־ (אַל) 'al- “may not”

I will hear what God, Jehovah, will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his godly ones: but let them not turn again to folly.

וְֽאַל־ (אַל) 'al- “may not”

Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as [ergänzt: in] the day of Massah, in the wilderness;

אַל־ 'al- “may not”

Hide not thy face from me: in the day of my trouble, incline thine ear unto me; in the day I call, answer me speedily.

I said, My God, take me not away in the midst of my days! ... Thy years are from generation to generation.

Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

וְאַל־ (אַל) 'al- “may not”

[ergänzt: Saying,] Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.

O God of my praise, be not silent:

אַֽל־ 'al- “may not”

Let there be none to extend kindness unto him, neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children;

אַל־ 'al- “may not”וְֽאַל־ (אַל) 'al- “may not”

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with Jehovah, and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out;

I will keep thy statutes: forsake me not utterly.

With my whole heart have I sought thee: let me not wander from thy commandments.

אַל־ 'al- “may not”

I am a stranger in the land; hide not thy commandments from me.

I cleave unto thy testimonies; Jehovah, let me not be ashamed.

אַל־ 'al- “may not”

Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to gain.

וְאַ֣ל (אַ֣ל) 'Al “may not [it incline]”

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; because I have hoped in thy judgments.

וְֽאַל־ (אַל) 'al- “may not”

Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live; and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

וְאַל־ (אַל) 'al- “may not”

Be surety for thy servant for good; let not the proud oppress me.
