therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also stretch out my hand upon Edom; and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and unto Dedan shall they fall by the sword.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

And I will execute my vengeance upon Edom, by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord Jehovah.

אֲדֹנָ֥י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul, to destroy, from old hatred;

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I stretch out my hands upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethites, and cause the remnant of the sea-coast to perish.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth its waves to come up.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

She shall be [ergänzt: a place] for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea; for I have spoken [ergänzt: it], saith the Lord Jehovah; and she shall become a spoil for the nations.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring from the north, against Tyre, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, the king of kings, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and an assemblage, and much people.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

And I will make thee a bare rock; thou shalt be [ergänzt: a place] for the spreading of nets; thou shalt be built no more: for I Jehovah have spoken [ergänzt: it], saith the Lord Jehovah.

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to Tyre: Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded groan, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?

אֲדֹנָ֥י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I bring up the deep upon thee, and the great waters cover thee:

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

And I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no [ergänzt: more]; and thou shalt be sought for, and shalt never be found again, for ever, saith the Lord Jehovah.

and say unto Tyre: O thou that art situate at the entries of the sea, and traffickest with the peoples in many isles, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, Tyre, hast said, I am perfect in beauty.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a god, I sit [ergänzt: in] the seat of God, in the heart of the seas, (and thou art a man, and not God,) and thou settest thy heart as the heart of God:

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast set thy heart as the heart of God,

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised, by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken [ergänzt: it], saith the Lord Jehovah.

אֲדֹנָ֥י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, who sealest up the measure of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty,

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Zidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of thee; and they shall know that I [ergänzt: am] Jehovah, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be hallowed in her.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

And there shall be no more a wounding sting for the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn, among all that were round about them, that despised them: and they shall know that I [ergänzt: am] the Lord Jehovah.

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall be hallowed in them in the sight of the nations, then shall they dwell in their land which I have given to my servant Jacob.

speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which saith, My river is mine own, and I made it for myself.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast from thee.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

Yet thus saith the Lord Jehovah: At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the peoples whither they were scattered;

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they turn after them: and they shall know that I [ergänzt: am] the Lord Jehovah.

אֲדֹנָ֥י 'a.do.Nai “[am the] Lord”

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry away her multitude, and seize her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.

אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai “[the] Lord”

I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord Jehovah.
