that by two unchangeable things, in which [ergänzt: it was] impossible that God should lie, we might have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us,

παράκλησιν paraklēsin “encouragement”

And ye have quite forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: My son, despise not [ergänzt: the] chastening of [ergänzt: the] Lord, nor faint [ergänzt: when] reproved by him;

παρακλήσεως paraklēseōs “exhortation”

But I beseech you, brethren, bear the word of exhortation, for it is but in few words that I have written to you.
