above every principality, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name named, not only in this age, but also in that to come;

τούτῳ toutō “this”

in which ye once walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience:

τούτου, toutou “of this,”

For ye are saved by grace, through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is God's gift:

τοῦτο touto “this”

For this reason *I* Paul, prisoner of the Christ Jesus for you nations,

Τούτου Toutou “Of this”

To me, less than the least of all saints, has this grace been given, to announce among the nations the glad tidings of the unsearchable riches of the Christ,

αὕτη, hautē “this,”

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father [ergänzt: of our Lord Jesus Christ],

This I say therefore, and testify in [ergänzt: the] Lord, that ye should no longer walk as [ergänzt: the rest of] the nations walk in [ergänzt: the] vanity of their mind,

For this ye are [ergänzt: well] informed of, knowing that no fornicator, or unclean person, or person of unbridled lust, who is an idolater, has inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.

Let no one deceive you with vain words, for on account of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

ταῦτα tauta “these things”

For this reason be not foolish, but understanding what [ergänzt: is] the will of the Lord.

Because of this a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be united to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.

This mystery is great, but *I* speak as to Christ, and as to the assembly.

Children, obey your parents in [ergänzt: the] Lord, for this is just.

τοῦτο touto “this”

knowing that whatever good each shall do, this he shall receive of [ergänzt: the] Lord, whether bond or free.

τοῦτο touto “this”

because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual [ergänzt: power] of wickedness in the heavenlies.

τούτου, toutou “this,”

For this reason take [ergänzt: to you] the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.

τοῦτο touto “this”

praying at all seasons, with all prayer and supplication in [ergänzt: the] Spirit, and watching unto this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;

τοῦτο touto “this”

whom I have sent to you for this very thing, that ye may know of our affairs and that he may encourage your hearts.

τοῦτο touto “purpose”

having confidence of this very thing, that he who has begun in you a good work will complete it unto Jesus Christ's day:

τοῦτο, touto “this,”

as it is righteous for me to think this as to you all, because ye have *me* in your hearts, and that both in my bonds and in the defence and confirmation of the glad tidings ye are all participators in my grace.

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in full knowledge and all intelligence,

What is it then? at any rate, in every way, whether in pretext or in truth, Christ is announced; and in this I rejoice, yea, also I will rejoice;

for I know that this shall turn out for me to salvation, through your supplication and [ergänzt: the] supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ;

but if to live in flesh [ergänzt: is my lot], this is for me worth the while: and what I shall choose I cannot tell.

and having confidence of this, I know that I shall remain and abide along with you all, for your progress and joy in faith;
