And when the chief shepherd is manifested ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.

Likewise [ergänzt: ye] younger, be subject to [ergänzt: the] elder, and all of you bind on humility towards one another; for God sets himself against [ergänzt: the] proud, but to [ergänzt: the] humble gives grace.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in [ergänzt: the due] time;

having cast all your care upon him, for he cares about you.

Be vigilant, watch. Your adversary [ergänzt: the] devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour.

ὁ ho “The”

Whom resist, stedfast in faith, knowing that the selfsame sufferings are accomplished in your brotherhood which [ergänzt: is] in [ergänzt: the] world.

τῇ tēa “in the”τὰ ta “the”τῶν tōn “<the>”τῇ tēa “<the>”τῷ tō “the”

But the God of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, when ye have suffered for a little while, himself shall make perfect, stablish, strengthen, ground:

to him [ergänzt: be] the glory and the might for the ages of the ages. Amen.

By Silvanus, the faithful brother, as I suppose, I have written to you briefly; exhorting and testifying that this is [ergänzt: the] true grace of God in which ye stand.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in [ergänzt: the] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

As his divine power has given to us all things which relate to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us by glory and virtue,

through which he has given to us the greatest and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of [ergänzt: the] divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

But for this very reason also, using therewith all diligence, in your faith have also virtue, in virtue knowledge,

in knowledge temperance, in temperance endurance, in endurance godliness,

τῇ tēa “<the>”τὴν tēn “<the>”τῇ tēa “<the>”τὴν tēn “<the>”τῇ tēa “<the>”τὴν tēn “<the>”

in godliness brotherly love, in brotherly love love:

τῇ tēa “<the>”τὴν tēn “<the>”τῇ tēa “<the>”τὴν tēn “<the>”

for these things existing and abounding in you make [ergänzt: you] to be neither idle nor unfruitful as regards the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ;

for he with whom these things are not present is blind, short-sighted, and has forgotten the purging of his former sins.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, use diligence to make your calling and election sure, for doing these things ye will never fall;

for thus shall the entrance into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be richly furnished unto you.

Wherefore I will be careful to put you always in mind of these things, although knowing [ergänzt: them] and established in the present truth.

But I account it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting [ergänzt: you] in remembrance,

knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is speedily [ergänzt: to take place], as also our Lord Jesus Christ has manifested to me;
