And the commandment, which [ergänzt: was] for life, was found, [ergänzt: as] to me, itself [ergänzt: to be] unto death:
ἡ hē “the”ἡ hē “that [was]”
for sin, getting a point of attack by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew [ergänzt: me].
ἡ hē “The”τῆς tēs “the”
So that the law indeed [ergänzt: is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
ὁ ho “<the>”ἡ hē “the”
Did then that which is good become death to me? Far be the thought. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death to me by that which is good; in order that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
τὸ to “That which”ἡ hē “<the>”τοῦ tou “that which [is]”ἡ hē “<the>”τῆς tēs “the”
For we know that the law is spiritual: but *I* am fleshly, sold under sin.
ὁ ho “the”τὴν tēn “<the>”
But if what I do not will, this I practise, I consent to the law that [ergänzt: it is] right.
τῷ tō “to the”
Now then [ergänzt: it is] no longer *I* [ergänzt: that] do it, but the sin that dwells in me.
ἡ hē “that which”
For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, good does not dwell: for to will is there with me, but to do right [ergänzt: I find] not.
τῇ tēa “the”τὸ to “<the>”τὸ to “<the>”τὸ to “the”
But if what *I* do not will, this I practise, [ergänzt: it is] no longer *I* [ergänzt: that] do it, but the sin that dwells in me.
ἡ hē “that which”
I find then the law upon *me* who will to practise what is right, that with *me* evil is there.
τὸν ton “the”τῷ tō “that which”τὸ to “<the>”τὸ to “<the>”
For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man:
τῷ tō “in the”τοῦ tou “<the>”τὸν ton “the”
but I see another law in my members, warring in opposition to the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which exists in my members.
τοῖς tois “the”τῷ tō “the”τοῦ tou “of the”τῷ tō “the”τῆς tēs “<the>”τῷ tō “which”τοῖς tois “the”
O wretched man that I [ergänzt: am]! who shall deliver me out of this body of death?
τοῦ tou “the”τοῦ tou “<the>”
I thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then *I* *myself* with the mind serve God's law; but with the flesh sin's law.
τῷ tō “<the>”τοῦ tou “the”τῷ tō “with the”τῇ tēa “<the>”
[ergänzt: There is] then now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.
τοῖς tois “to those”
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death.
ὁ ho “<the>”τοῦ tou “of the”τῆς tēs “<the>”τοῦ tou “the”τῆς tēs “<the>”τοῦ tou “<the>”
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent his own Son, in likeness of flesh of sin, and for sin, has condemned sin in the flesh,
τὸ to “<the>”τοῦ tou “the”τῆς tēs “the”ὁ ho “<the>”τὸν ton “<the>”τὴν tēn “<the>”τῇ tēa “the”
in order that the righteous requirement of the law should be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to flesh but according to Spirit.
τὸ to “the”τοῦ tou “of the”τοῖς tois “<the>”
For they that are according to flesh mind the things of the flesh; and they that are according to Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
οἱ hoi “Those”τὰ ta “the [things]”τῆς tēs “of the”οἱ hoi “those”τὰ ta “the [things]”τοῦ tou “of the”
For the mind of the flesh [ergänzt: is] death; but the mind of the Spirit life and peace.
τὸ to “The”τῆς tēs “of the”τὸ to “the”τοῦ tou “of the”
Because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God; for neither indeed can it be:
τὸ to “the”τῆς tēs “of the”τῷ tō “<the>”τοῦ tou “<the>”
and they that are in flesh cannot please God.
οἱ hoi “Those”
but if Christ be in you, the body is dead on account of sin, but the Spirit life on account of righteousness.
τὸ to “the”τὸ to “the”
But if the Spirit of him that has raised up Jesus from among [ergänzt: the] dead dwell in you, he that has raised up Christ from among [ergänzt: the] dead shall quicken your mortal bodies also on account of his Spirit which dwells in you.
τὸ to “the”τοῦ tou “of the [One]”τὸν ton “<the>”ὁ ho “the [One]”τὸν ton “<the>”τὰ ta “to the”τοῦ tou “the”
So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to flesh;
τῇ tēa “to the”τοῦ tou “<the>”
