G1063–γάρ–gar

for all these things do the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that ye have need of these things;

γὰρ gar “for”

For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.

for from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided; three shall be divided against two, and two against three:

For as thou goest with thine adverse party before a magistrate, strive in the way to be reconciled with him, lest he drag thee away to the judge, and the judge shall deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.

and thou shalt be blessed; for they have not [ergänzt: the means] to recompense thee; for it shall be recompensed thee in the resurrection of the just.

for I say to you, that not one of those men who were invited shall taste of my supper.

For which of you, desirous of building a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, if he have what [ergänzt: is needed] to complete it;

And having called him, he said to him, What [ergänzt: is] this that I hear of thee? give the reckoning of thy stewardship, for thou canst be no longer steward.

No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and will love the other, or he will cleave to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

for I have five brothers, so that he may earnestly testify to them, that they also may not come to this place of torment.

nor shall they say, Lo here, or, Lo there; for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.

For as the lightning shines which lightens from [ergänzt: one end] under heaven to [ergänzt: the other end] under heaven, thus shall the Son of man be in his day.

But Jesus calling them to [ergänzt: him] said, Suffer little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God.

But when he heard this he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.

for it is easier for a camel to enter through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

for he shall be delivered up to the nations, and shall be mocked, and insulted, and spit upon.

And when he came up to the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for to-day I must remain in thy house.

for the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which is lost.

γὰρ gar “for”

For I feared thee because thou art a harsh man: thou takest up what thou hast not laid down, and thou reapest what thou hast not sowed.

For I say unto you, that to every one that has shall be given; but from him that has not, that even which he has shall be taken from him.

and did not find what they could do, for all the people hung on him to hear.

γὰρ gar “for”

but if we should say, Of men, the whole people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.

γάρ gar “for”

And the chief priests and the scribes sought the same hour to lay hands on him, and they feared the people; for they knew that he had spoken this parable of them.

In the resurrection therefore of which of them does she become wife, for the seven had her as wife?

γὰρ gar “For”

for neither can they die any more, for they are equal to angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
