And dost thou open thy eyes upon such one, and bring me into judgment with thee?

וְאֹ֘תִ֤י (י) i “me”

O that thou wouldst hide me in the grave, that thou wouldst keep me secret, until thy wrath is past, that thou wouldst appoint me a set time, and remember me!

תַּצְפִּנֵ֗נִי (נִי) ni “me”תַּ֭סְתִּירֵנִי (נִי) ni “me”לִ֖י (י) i “me”וְתִזְכְּרֵֽנִי׃ (נִי) ni “me”

I will show thee, hear me; and that which I have seen, I will declare;

לִ֑י (י) i “me”

Though I speak, my grief is not assuaged: and though I forbear, what am I eased?

מִנִּ֥י (נִּ֥י) Ni “me”

But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate all my company.

הֶלְאָ֑נִי (נִי) ni “me”

And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, which is a witness against me: and my leanness rising up in me beareth witness to my face.

וַֽ֭תִּקְמְטֵנִי (נִי) ni “me”בִּ֥י (י) i “me”

He teareth me in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; my enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.

וַֽיִּשְׂטְמֵ֗נִי (נִי) ni “me”עָלַ֣י (י) i “me”לִֽי׃ (י) i “me”

They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves against me.

עָלַ֨י׀ (י) i “me”עָלַ֥י (י) i “me”

God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.

יַסְגִּירֵ֣נִי (נִי) ni “me”יִרְטֵֽנִי׃ (נִי) ni “me”

I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.

וַֽיְפַרְפְּרֵ֗נִי (נִי) ni “me”וַֽיְפַצְפְּצֵ֑נִי (נִי) ni “me”וַיְקִימֵ֥נִי (נִי) ni “me”

His archers encompass me; he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.

עָלַ֨י׀ (י) i “me”

He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.

יִפְרְצֵ֣נִי (נִי) ni “me”עָלַ֣י (י) i “me”

My friends scorn me: but my eye poureth out tears to God.

מְלִיצַ֥י (י) i “me”

My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready for me.

לִֽי׃ (י) i “me”

Are there not mockers with me? and doth not my eye continue in their provocation?

עִמָּדִ֑י (י) i “me”

Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who is he that will strike hands with me?

עָרְבֵ֣נִי (נִי) ni “me”

He hath made me also a by-word of the people; and in former time I was as a tabret.

וְֽ֭הִצִּגַנִי (נִי) ni “me”

How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?

וּֽתְדַכְּאוּנַ֥נִי (נַ֥נִי) Na.ni “me”

These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me.

תַּכְלִימ֑וּנִי (נִי) ni “me”לִֽי׃ (י) i “me”

And be it indeed that I have erred, my error remaineth with myself.

אִ֝תִּ֗י (י) i “me”

If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:

עָלַ֣י (י) i “me”עָ֝לַ֗י (י) i “me”

Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath encompassed me with his net.

עִוְּתָ֑נִי (נִי) ni “me”עָלַ֥י (י) i “me”

He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.

מֵעָלַ֣י (י) i “me”

He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and my hope hath he removed like a tree.

יִתְּצֵ֣נִי (נִי) ni “me”

He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me to him as one of his enemies.
