I laid me down and slept; I awaked, for Jehovah sustaineth me.

וָֽאִ֫ישָׁ֥נָה (ה) h “!”

Arise, Jehovah; save me, my God! For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheekbone, thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.

ק֘וּמָ֤ה (ה) h “!”

Many say, Who shall cause us to see good? Lift up upon us the light of thy countenance, O Jehovah.

נְֽסָה־ (ה) h- “!”

Give ear to my words, O Jehovah; consider my meditation.

הַאֲזִ֥ינָה׀ (ה) h “!”בִּ֣ינָה (ה) h “!”

Hearken unto the voice of my crying, my king and my God; for to thee will I pray.

הַקְשִׁ֤יבָה׀ (ה) h “!”

Return, Jehovah, free my soul; save me for thy loving-kindness' sake.

שׁוּבָ֣ה (ה) h “!”חַלְּצָ֣ה (ה) h “!”

If I have rewarded evil to him that was at peace with me; (indeed I have freed him that without cause oppressed me;)

וָאֲחַלְּצָ֖ה (ה) h “!”

Arise, Jehovah, in thine anger; lift thyself up against the raging of mine oppressors, and awake for me: thou hast commanded judgment.

ק֘וּמָ֤ה (ה) h “!”וְע֥וּרָה (ה) h “!”

And the assembly of the peoples shall encompass thee; and for their sakes return thou on high.

שֽׁוּבָה׃ (ה) h “!”

Jehovah our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy majesty above the heavens.

תְּנָ֥ה (ה) h “!”

Arise, Jehovah; let not man prevail: let the nations be judged in thy sight.

קוּמָ֣ה (ה) h “!”

Put them in fear, Jehovah: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

שִׁ֘יתָ֤ה (ה) h “!”

Arise, Jehovah; O God, lift up thy hand: forget not the afflicted.

קוּמָ֤ה (ה) h “!”

Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.

הוֹשִׁ֣יעָה (ה) h “!”

Consider, answer me, O Jehovah my God! lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [supplied: sleep of] death;

הַבִּ֣יטָֽה (ה) h “!”הָאִ֥ירָה (ה) h “!”

Hear the right, O Jehovah, attend unto my cry; give ear unto my prayer, which is not out of feigned lips.

שִׁמְעָ֤ה (ה) h “!”הַקְשִׁ֥יבָה (ה) h “!”הַאֲזִ֥ינָה (ה) h “!”

Arise, Jehovah, anticipate him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, thy sword;

קוּמָ֤ה (ה) h “!”קַדְּמָ֣ה (ה) h “!”פַּלְּטָ֥ה (ה) h “!”

Remember all thine oblations, and accept thy burnt-offering; Selah.

יְדַשְּׁנֶ֣ה (ה) h “!”

Save, Jehovah! Let the king answer us in the day we call.

הוֹשִׁ֑יעָה (ה) h “!”

Be thou exalted, Jehovah, in thine own strength: we will sing and celebrate thy power.

ר֣וּמָה (ה) h “!”

But thou, Jehovah, be not far [supplied: from me]; O my strength, haste thee to help me.

חֽוּשָׁה׃ (ה) h “!”

Deliver my soul from the sword; my only one from the power of the dog;

הַצִּ֣ילָה (ה) h “!”

Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee.

שָׁמְרָ֣ה (ה) h “!”

Prove me, Jehovah, and test me; try my reins and my heart:

צָרְפָ֖ה (ה) h “!”

Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance; and feed them, and lift them up for ever.

הוֹשִׁ֤יעָה׀ (ה) h “!”
