Then Job arose, and rent his robe, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped;

אַ֖רְצָה (ה) h “towards”

and he said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: Jehovah gave, and Jehovah hath taken away; blessed be the name of Jehovah.

And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his robe, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven.

הַשָּׁמָֽיְמָה׃ (ה) h “towards”

Then let my shoulder fall from the shoulder-blade, And mine arm be broken from the bone.

מִשִּׁכְמָ֣ה (ה) h “<towards>”

Who gave him a charge over the earth? Or who hath disposed the whole world?

And it is turned round about by his guidance, That they may do whatsoever he commandeth them Upon the face of the habitable world,

The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God.

לִשְׁא֑וֹלָה (ה) h “<towards>”

God setteth the solitary in families: He bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

בַּ֗יְתָה (ה) h “<towards>”

They seemed as men that lifted up Axes upon a thicket of trees.

לְמָ֑עְלָה (ה) h “<towards>”

There he brake the arrows of the bow; The shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah

שָׁ֭מָּה (ה) h “<towards>”

I will pay my vows unto Jehovah, Yea, in the presence of all his people.

נֶגְדָה־ (ה) h- “<towards>”

Precious in the sight of Jehovah Is the death of his saints.

הַ֝מָּ֗וְתָה (ה) h “<towards>”

I will pay my vows unto Jehovah, Yea, in the presence of all his people,

In my distress I cried unto Jehovah, And he answered me.

בַּצָּרָ֣תָה (ה) h “<towards>”

For there are set thrones for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.

שָׁ֨מָּה׀ (ה) h “<towards>”

Then the waters had overwhelmed us, The stream had gone over our soul;

נַ֗֜חְלָה (ה) h “<towards>”

Should thy springs be dispersed abroad, And streams of water in the streets?

ח֑וּצָה (ה) h “towards”

To the wise the way of life [supplied: goeth] upward, That he may depart from Sheol beneath.

לְמַ֣עְלָה (ה) h “<towards>”

And moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.

שָׁ֣מָּה (ה) h “<towards>”שָׁ֥מָּה (ה) h “<towards>”

Who knoweth the spirit of man, whether it goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast, whether it goeth downward to the earth?

לְמָ֑עְלָה (ה) h “<towards>”

Wherefore I praised the dead that have been long dead more than the living that are yet alive;

עֲדֶֽנָה׃ (ה) h “<towards>”

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [supplied: it] with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, whither thou goest.

Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, Leaning upon her beloved? Under the apple-tree I awakened thee: There thy mother was in travail with thee, There was she in travail that brought thee forth.

Ask thee a sign of Jehovah thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.

לְמָֽעְלָה׃ (ה) h “<towards>”

With arrows and with bow shall one come thither, because all the land shall be briers and thorns.
