And Elijah took the child, and brought him down from the upper chamber into the house, and delivered him to his mother; and Elijah said, See, thy son lives.

הַבַּ֔יְתָה (ה) h “towards”

And Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed down on the earth, and put his face between his knees.

אַ֔רְצָה (ה) h “towards”

And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heavens became black [supplied: with] clouds and wind, and there was a great pour of rain. And Ahab got on the chariot, and went to Jizreel.

יִזְרְעֶֽאלָה׃ (ה) h “towards”

And the hand of Jehovah was upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jizreel.

יִזְרְעֶֽאלָה׃ (ה) h “towards”

And Jehovah said to him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus; and when thou comest, anoint Hazael king over Syria;

מִדְבַּ֣רָה (ה) h “towards”

And he sent messengers to Ahab king of Israel into the city, and said to him, Thus says Ben-Hadad:

הָעִֽירָה׃ (ה) h “towards”

And it came to pass, at the return of the year, that Ben-Hadad numbered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek, to fight against Israel.

אֲפֵ֔קָה (ה) h “towards”

And the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and the wall fell on twenty-seven thousand men of them that were left. And Ben-Hadad fled, and came into the city, [supplied: from] chamber to chamber.

And the king of Israel went to his house sullen and vexed, and came to Samaria.

שֹׁמְרֽוֹנָה׃ (ה) h “towards”

Jehoshaphat made Tarshish-ships to go to Ophir for gold; but they went not, for the ships were broken at Ezion-geber.

אוֹפִ֛ירָה (ה) h “towards”

And Elijah said to him, Abide here, I pray thee; for Jehovah has sent me to the Jordan. And he said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee! And they two went on.

הַיַּרְדֵּ֔נָה (ה) h “towards”

And the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho on the opposite side saw him, and they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him,

And all the Moabites heard that the kings were come up to fight against them, and they were called together, all that were able to put on armour, and upward, and stood by the border.

וָמַ֔עְלָה (ה) h “-wards”

And it came to pass on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a wealthy woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, [supplied: that] as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.

שָׁ֖מָּה (ה) h “towards”

Let us make, I pray thee, a small upper chamber with walls, and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a seat, and a lampstand; and it shall be when he cometh to us, he shall turn in thither.

שָֽׁמָּה׃ (ה) h “towards”

And it came to pass on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the upper chamber, and lay there.

And when Elisha came into the house, behold, the child was dead, [supplied: and] laid upon his bed.

And she came and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground; and she took up her son, and went out.

And Elisha came again to Gilgal. And there was a famine in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him. And he said to his servant, Set on the great pot, and boil pottage for the sons of the prophets.

הַגִּלְגָּ֙לָה֙ (ה֙) h “towards”

In this thing Jehovah pardon thy servant: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to bow down there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon -- when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, Jehovah pardon thy servant, I pray thee, in this thing.

שָׁ֜מָּה (ה) h “<towards>”

And he went with them. And they came to the Jordan and cut down the trees.

הַיַּרְדֵּ֔נָה (ה) h “towards”

And the man of God said, Where did it fall? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither, and made the iron to swim.

שָׁ֔מָּה (ה) h “towards”

And he sent thither horses and chariots, and a great host, and they came by night and surrounded the city.

שָׁ֛מָּה (ה) h “towards”

And Elisha said to them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. And he led them to Samaria.

And Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him; and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites who had surrounded him, and the captains of the chariots; and the people fled into their tents.
