And Ahithophel was the king's counsellor: and Hushai the Archite was the king's friend:

הָאַרְכִּ֖י (הָ) ha. “the”הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that served the king by course, and the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, and the rulers over all the substance and possessions of the king and of his sons, with the officers, and the mighty men, even all the mighty men of valor, unto Jerusalem.

הַשְּׁבָטִ֣ים (הַ) ha. “the”הַמַּחְלְק֣וֹת (הַ) ha. “the”הַמְשָׁרְתִ֪ים (הַ) ha “who”הַמֶּ֟לֶךְ (הַ) ha. “the”הָאֲלָפִ֣ים (הָ) ha. “the”הַמֵּא֡וֹת (הַ) ha. “the”הַסָּרִיסִ֧ים (הַ) ha. “the”וְהַגִּבּוֹרִ֛ים (הַ) ha “the”

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.

הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ (הַ) ha. “the”

But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build a house for my name, because thou art a man of war, and hast shed blood.

וְהָאֱלֹהִים֙ (הָ) ha. “<the>”

And I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and mine ordinances, as at this day.

הַזֶּֽה׃ (הַ) ha. “<the>”

Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of Jehovah, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of Jehovah your God; that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you for ever.

הָאָ֣רֶץ (הָ) ha. “the”הַטּוֹבָ֔ה (הַ) ha. “<the>”

Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch [supplied: of the temple], and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper rooms thereof, and of the inner chambers thereof, and of the place of the mercy-seat;

הָאוּלָם֩ (הָ) ha. “the”הַפְּנִימִ֖ים (הַ) ha. “<the>”הַכַּפֹּֽרֶת׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

and the pattern of all that he had by the Spirit, for the courts of the house of Jehovah, and for all the chambers round about, for the treasuries of the house of God, and for the treasuries of the dedicated things;

הַלְּשָׁכ֖וֹת (הַ) ha. “the”הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים (הָ) ha. “<the>”הַקֳּדָשִֽׁים׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of Jehovah, and for all the vessels of service in the house of Jehovah;

הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים (הַ) ha. “the”וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם (הַ) ha “the”

of gold by weight for the [supplied: vessels of] gold, for all vessels of every kind of service; [supplied: of silver] for all the vessels of silver by weight, for all vessels of every kind of service;

הַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ (הַ) ha. “<the>”

by weight also for the candlesticks of gold, and for the lamps thereof, of gold, by weight for every candlestick and for the lamps thereof; and for the candlesticks of silver, [supplied: silver] by weight for [supplied: every] candlestick and for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick;

הַזָּהָ֗ב (הַ) ha. “<the>”הַכֶּ֤סֶף (הַ) ha. “<the>”

and the gold by weight for the tables of showbread, for every table; and silver for the tables of silver;

הַזָּהָ֥ב (הַ) ha. “the”הַֽמַּעֲרֶ֖כֶת (הַֽ) ha. “the”הַכָּֽסֶף׃ (הַ) ha. “<the>”

and the flesh-hooks, and the basins, and the cups, of pure gold; and for the golden bowls by weight for every bowl; and for the silver bowls by weight for every bowl;

וְהַמִּזְלָג֧וֹת (הַ) ha. “the”וְהַמִּזְרָק֛וֹת (הַ) ha. “the”וְהַקְּשָׂוֹ֖ת (הַ) ha. “the”הַזָּהָ֤ב (הַ) ha. “<the>”הַכֶּ֛סֶף (הַ) ha. “<the>”

and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot, [supplied: even] the cherubim, that spread out [supplied: their wings], and covered the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.

הַקְּטֹ֛רֶת (הַ) ha. “<the>”הַמֶּרְכָּבָ֗ה (הַ) ha. “the”הַכְּרֻבִ֤ים (הַ) ha. “the”

All this, [supplied: said David], have I been made to understand in writing from the hand of Jehovah, even all the works of this pattern.

הַכֹּ֥ל (הַ) ha. “<the>”הַתַּבְנִֽית׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

And, behold, there are the courses of the priests and the Levites, for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee in all manner of work every willing man that hath skill, for any manner of service: also the captains and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.

הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים (הַ) ha. “the”וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם (הַ) ha “the”הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים (הָ) ha. “<the>”וְהַשָּׂרִ֥ים (הַ) ha. “the”הָעָ֖ם (הָ) ha. “the”

And David the king said unto all the assembly, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for Jehovah God.

הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ (הַ) ha. “the”הַקָּהָ֔ל (הַ) ha. “the”וְהַמְּלָאכָ֣ה (הַ) ha. “the”הַבִּירָ֔ה (הַ) ha. “the”

Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for the [supplied: things of] gold, and the silver for the [supplied: things of] silver, and the brass for the [supplied: things of] brass, the iron for the [supplied: things of] iron, and wood for the [supplied: things of] wood; onyx stones, and [supplied: stones] to be set, stones for inlaid work, and of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

הַזָּהָ֣ב׀ (הַ) ha. “the”וְהַכֶּ֨סֶף (הַ) ha. “the”וְהַנְּחֹ֣שֶׁת (הַ) ha. “the”הַבַּרְזֶל֙ (הַ) ha. “the”וְהָעֵצִ֖ים (הָ) ha. “the”

Moreover also, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, seeing that I have a treasure of mine own of gold and silver, I give it unto the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,

הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, wherewith to overlay the walls of the houses;

הַבָּתִּֽים׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

of gold for the [supplied: things of] gold, and of silver for the [supplied: things of] silver, and for all manner of work [supplied: to be made] by the hands of artificers. Who then offereth willingly to consecrate himself this day unto Jehovah?

הַיּ֖וֹם (הַ) hai. “this”

Then the princes of the fathers' [supplied: houses], and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king's work, offered willingly;

הָאָב֜וֹת (הָ) ha. “the”הָאֲלָפִים֙ (הָ) ha. “the”וְהַמֵּא֔וֹת (הַ) ha. “the”הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

and they gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand darics, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and of iron a hundred thousand talents.

הָאֱלֹהִ֗ים (הָ) ha. “<the>”

And they with whom [supplied: precious] stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of Jehovah, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

וְהַנִּמְצָ֤א (הַ) ha. “the”הַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּֽי׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to Jehovah: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
