Will he reason with thee for fear of thee? Will he enter with thee into judgment?

הֲֽ֭מִיִּרְאָ֣תְךָ (הֲֽ֭) ha. “¿”

Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities without end?

הֲלֹ֣א (הֲ) ha. “¿”

Is not +God in the height of the heavens? And behold the summit of the stars: how exalted are they!

הֲֽלֹא־ (הֲֽ) ha “¿”

And thou sayest, What doth God know? will he judge through the dark cloud?

הַבְעַ֖ד (הַ) ha “¿”

Dost thou mark the ancient path which wicked men have trodden?

הַאֹ֣רַח (הַ) ha. “¿”

Would he plead against me with [supplied: his] great power? Nay; but he would give heed unto me.

הַבְּרָב־ (הַ) ha. “¿”

Is there any number of his troops? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

הֲיֵ֣שׁ (הֲ) ha. “¿”

Will God hear his cry when distress cometh upon him?

הַֽ֭צַעֲקָתוֹ (הַֽ֭) ha. “¿”

Is not calamity for the unrighteous? and misfortune for the workers of iniquity?

הֲלֹא־ (הֲ) ha. “¿”

Doth not he see my ways, and number all my steps?

הֲלֹא־ (הֲ) ha. “¿”

Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not One fashion us in the womb?

הֲֽ֝לֹא־ (הֲֽ֝) ha “¿”

Should he that hateth right indeed govern? and wilt thou condemn the All-just?

הַאַ֬ף (הַ) ha. “¿”

Shall one say to a king, Belial? to nobles, Wicked?

הַאֲמֹ֣ר (הַ) ha. “¿”

For hath he said unto God, I bear [supplied: chastisement], I will not offend;

הֶאָמַ֥ר (הֶ) he. “¿”

Shall he recompense according to thy mind? for thou hast refused [supplied: his judgment]; for thou so choosest, and not I; speak then what thou knowest.

הַֽמֵעִמְּךָ֬ (הַֽ) ha. “¿”

Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?

הֲ֭זֹאת (הֲ֭) Ha. “¿”

Will he esteem thy riches? Not gold, nor all the resources of strength!

הֲיַעֲרֹ֣ךְ (הֲ) ha. “¿”

Dost thou know how +God hath disposed them, and how he causeth the lightning of his cloud to flash?

הֲ֭תֵדַע (הֲ֭) Ha. “¿”

Dost thou know about the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him that is perfect in knowledge?

הֲ֭תֵדַע (הֲ֭) Ha. “¿”

Shall it be told him if I would speak? if a man [supplied: so] say, surely he shall be swallowed up.

הַֽיְסֻפַּר־ (הַֽ) ha “¿”

Hast thou since thy days commanded the morning? hast thou caused the dawn to know its place,

הְֽ֭מִיָּמֶיךָ (הְֽ֭) He. “¿”

Hast thou entered as far as the springs of the sea? and hast thou walked in the recesses of the deep?

הֲ֭בָאתָ (הֲ֭) Ha. “¿”

Have the gates of death been revealed unto thee? and hast thou seen the gates of the shadow of death?

הֲנִגְל֣וּ (הֲ) ha. “¿”

Hast thou entered into the storehouses of the snow, and hast thou seen the treasuries of the hail,

הֲ֭בָאתָ (הֲ֭) Ha. “¿”

Hath the rain a father? or who begetteth the drops of dew?

הֲיֵשׁ־ (הֲ) ha. “¿”
