Thou measurest my going about and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

וְרִבְעִ֣י (וְ) ve. “and”וְֽכָל־ (וְֽ) ve. “and”

Thou hast hemmed me in behind and before, and laid Thy hand upon me.

וָקֶ֣דֶם (וָ) va. “and”

Whither shall I go from Thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?

וְ֝אָ֗נָה (וְ֝) ve. “and”

If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there; if I make my bed in the nether-world, behold, Thou art there.

וְאַצִּ֖יעָה (וְ) ve. “and”

Even there would Thy hand lead me, and Thy right hand would hold me.

וְֽתֹאחֲזֵ֥נִי (וְֽ) ve. “and”

And if I say: 'Surely the darkness shall envelop me, and the light about me shall be night';

וְ֝לַ֗יְלָה (וְ֝) ve. “and”

Even the darkness is not too dark for Thee, but the night shineth as the day; the darkness is even as the light.

וְ֭לַיְלָה (וְ֭) Ve. “and”

I will give thanks unto Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

וְ֝נַפְשִׁ֗י (וְ֝) ve. “and”

Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance, and in Thy book they were all written--even the days that were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

וְעַֽל־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְל֖וֹ (וְ) ve. “and”

How weighty also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

וְלִ֗י (וְ) ve. “and”

If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand; were I to come to the end of them, I would still be with Thee.

וְעוֹדִ֥י (וְ) ve. “and”

If Thou but wouldest slay the wicked, O God--depart from me therefore, ye men of blood;

וְאַנְשֵׁ֥י (וְ) ve. “and”

Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate Thee? And do not I strive with those that rise up against Thee?

וּ֝בִתְקוֹמְמֶ֗יךָ (וּ֝) u. “and”

Search me, O God, and know my heart, try me, and know my thoughts;

וְדַ֣ע (וְ) ve. “and”וְדַ֣ע (וְ) ve. “and”

And see if there be any way in me that is grievous, and lead me in the way everlasting.

וּרְאֵ֗ה (וּ) u. “and”וּ֝נְחֵ֗נִי (וּ֝) u. “and”

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah

וַחֲבָלִ֗ים (וַ) va. “and”

Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to be occupied in deeds of wickedness with men that work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.

וּבַל־ (וּ) u. “and”

Let the righteous smite me in kindness, and correct me; oil so choice let not my head refuse; for still is my prayer because of their wickedness.

וְֽיוֹכִיחֵ֗נִי (וְֽ) ve. “and”וּ֝תְפִלָּתִ֗י (וּ֝) u. “and”

As when one cleaveth and breaketh up the earth, our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth.

וּבֹקֵ֣עַ (וּ) u. “and”

Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the gins of the workers of iniquity.

וּ֝מֹקְשׁ֗וֹת (וּ֝) u. “and”

When my spirit fainteth within me--Thou knowest my path--in the way wherein I walk have they hidden a snare for me.

וְאַתָּה֮ (וְ) ve. “and”

Look on my right hand, and see, for there is no man that knoweth me; I have no way to flee; no man careth for my soul.

וּרְאֵה֮ (וּ) u. “and”וְאֵֽין־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And enter not into judgment with Thy servant; for in Thy sight shall no man living be justified.

וְאַל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And in Thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that harass my soul; for I am Thy servant.

וּֽבְחַסְדְּךָ֮ (וּֽ) u. “and”

My lovingkindness, and my fortress, my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and He in whom I take refuge; who subdueth my people under me.

וּמְצוּדָתִי֮ (וּ) u. “and”וּֽמְפַלְטִ֫י (וּֽ) u. “and”וּב֣וֹ (וּ) u. “and”
