So were they scattered, because there was no shepherd; and they became food to all the beasts of the field, and were scattered.

וַתְּפוּצֶ֖ינָה (וַ) va. “and”וַתִּהְיֶ֧ינָה (וַ) va. “and”וַתְּפוּצֶֽינָה׃ (וַ) va. “and”

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely forasmuch as My sheep became a prey, and My sheep became food to all the beasts of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did My shepherds search for My sheep, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not

וַתִּֽהְיֶינָה֩ (וַ) va. “and”וַיִּרְע֤וּ (וַ) va “and”

Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require My sheep at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the sheep; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; and I will deliver My sheep from their mouth, th

וְֽדָרַשְׁתִּ֧י (וְֽ) ve. “and”וְהִשְׁבַּתִּים֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וְהִצַּלְתִּ֤י (וְ) ve. “and”

For thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, here am I, and I will search for My sheep, and seek them out.

וְדָרַשְׁתִּ֥י (וְ) ve. “and”וּבִקַּרְתִּֽים׃ (וּ) u. “and”

As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are separated, so will I seek out My sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered in the day of clouds and thick darkness.

וְהִצַּלְתִּ֣י (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the habitable places of the country.

וְהוֹצֵאתִ֣ים (וְ) ve. “and”וְקִבַּצְתִּים֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וַהֲבִיאֹתִ֖ים (וַ) va. “and”וּרְעִיתִים֙ (וּ) u. “and”

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them: Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and the lean cattle.

וְשָֽׁפַטְתִּי֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

therefore will I save My flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.

וְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣י (וְ) ve. “and”וְשָׁ֣פַטְתִּ֔י (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even My servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

וַהֲקִמֹתִ֨י (וַ) va. “and”וְרָעָ֣ה (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

וְכָרַתִּ֤י (וְ) ve. “and”וְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֥י (וְ) ve. “and”וְיָשְׁב֤וּ (וְ) ve. “and”וְיָשְׁנ֖וּ (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will make them and the places round about My hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there shall be showers of blessing.

וְנָתַתִּ֥י (וְ) ve. “and”וְהוֹרַדְתִּ֤י (וְ) ve. “and”

And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield her produce, and they shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them out of the hand of th

וְנָתַן֩ (וְ) ve. “and”וְהָי֥וּ (וְ) ve. “and”וְֽיָדְע֞וּ (וְֽ) ve. “and”וְהִ֨צַּלְתִּ֔ים (וְ) ve. “and”

And they shall no more be a prey to the nations, neither shall the beast of the earth devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.

וְיָשְׁב֥וּ (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will raise up unto them a plantation for renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the nations any more.

וַהֲקִמֹתִ֥י (וַ) va. “and”

And they shall know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people, saith the Lord GOD.

וְיָדְע֗וּ (וְ) ve. “and”

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:

וַיְהִ֥י (וַ) va “and”

and say unto it: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against thee, O mount Seir, and I will stretch out My hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.

וְאָמַ֣רְתָּ (וְ) ve. “and”וְנָטִ֤יתִי (וְ) ve. “and”וּנְתַתִּ֖יךָ (וּ) u. “and”

I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

וְיָדַעְתָּ֖ (וְ) ve. “and”

Because thou hast had a hatred of old, and hast hurled the children of Israel unto the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;

וַתַּגֵּ֥ר (וַ) va. “and”

Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth through and him that returneth.

וְנָֽתַתִּי֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will fill his mountains with his slain; in thy hills and in thy valleys and in all thy streams shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

וּמִלֵּאתִ֥י (וּ) u. “and”

I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם (וִֽ) vi. “and”

Because thou hast said: These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there;

וִֽירַשְׁנ֑וּהָ (וִֽ) vi. “and”

therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will do according to thine anger and according to thine envy, which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make Myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.

וְעָשִׂ֗יתִי (וְ) ve. “and”וְנוֹדַ֥עְתִּי (וְ) ve. “and”

And thou shalt know that I the LORD have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying: They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.
