that the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand.

לִשְׁמֹ֥ר (שְׁמֹ֥ר) sh.Mor “keep”

has walked in my statutes, and has kept my ordinances, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, says the Lord Yahweh.

שָׁמַ֖ר sha.Mar “he has kept”

But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

וְשָׁמַר֙ (שָׁמַר֙) sha.Mar “he will keep”

I said to their children in the wilderness, Don't you walk in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

תִּשְׁמֹ֑רוּ tish.Mo.ru “you keep”

If they be ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the form of the house, and the fashion of it, and the exits of it, and the entrances of it, and all the forms of it, and all the ordinances of it, and all the forms of it, and all the laws of it; and write it in their sight; that they may keep the whole form of it, and all the ordinances of it, and do them.

וְיִשְׁמְר֞וּ (יִשְׁמְר֞וּ) yish.me.Ru “they may keep”

You have not kept the charge of my holy things; but you have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.

Yet will I make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service of it, and for all that shall be done therein.

But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister to me; and they shall stand before me to offer to me the fat and the blood, says the Lord Yahweh:

שָׁמְר֜וּ sha.me.Ru “they kept”

they shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister to me, and they shall keep my charge.

וְשָׁמְר֖וּ (שָׁמְר֖וּ) sha.me.Ru “they will keep”

In a controversy they shall stand to judge; according to my ordinances shall they judge it: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my appointed feasts; and they shall make my Sabbaths holy.

יִשְׁמֹ֔רוּ yish.Mo.ru “they will observe”

[supplied: It shall be] for the priests who are sanctified of the sons of Zadok, who have kept my charge, who didn't go astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

I prayed to Yahweh my God, and made confession, and said, Oh, Lord, the great and dreadful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with those who love him and keep his commandments,

Thus says Yahweh: "For three transgressions of Edom, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; Because he pursued his brother with the sword, And cast off all pity, And his anger raged continually, And he kept his wrath forever;

שְׁמָ֥רָה (שְׁמָ֥רָ) she.Ma.ra “he kept”

Thus says Yahweh: "For three transgressions of Judah, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; Because they have rejected Yahweh's law, And have not kept his statutes, And their lies have led them astray, After which their fathers walked;

שָׁמָ֔רוּ sha.Ma.ru “they have kept”

For the statutes of Omri are kept, And all the works of the house of Ahab. You walk in their counsels, That I may make you a ruin, And her inhabitants a hissing; And you will bear the reproach of my people."

וְיִשְׁתַּמֵּ֞ר (יִשְׁתַּמֵּ֞ר) yish.ta.Mer “<it> may be kept”

"Thus says Yahweh of hosts: 'If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by.

תִשְׁמֹ֔ר tish.Mor “you will keep”

"Therefore I have also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according to the way you have not kept my ways, but have had respect for persons in the law.

From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my ordinances, and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says Yahweh of Hosts. "But you say, 'How shall we return?'

You have said, 'It is vain to serve God;' and 'What profit is it that we have kept his charge, and that we have walked mournfully before Yahweh of Hosts?

שָׁמַ֙רְנוּ֙ sha.Mar.nu “we have kept”
