Or darkness, that thou canst not see, and floods of waters cover thee.

תִרְאֶ֑ה tir.'Eh “you will see”

Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh on the vault of the heavens.

יִרְאֶ֑ה yir.'Eh “he will see”

The righteous see it, and are glad; and the innocent laugh them to scorn:

יִרְא֣וּ yir.'U “they see [it]”

On the left hand, where he doth work, but I behold [supplied: him] not; he hideth himself on the right hand, and I see [supplied: him] not.

אֶרְאֶֽה׃ 'er.'Eh “I see [him]”

He cutteth out channels in the rocks, and his eye seeth every precious thing.

רָאֲתָ֥ה ra.'a.Tah “it sees”

For he looketh to the ends of the earth, he seeth under the whole heaven.

יִרְאֶֽה׃ yir.'Eh “he sees”

Then did he see it, and declare it; he established it, yea, and searched it out;

רָ֭אָהּ (רָ֭אָ) Ra.'a “he saw”

The young men saw me, and hid themselves; and the aged arose [supplied: and] stood up;

רָא֣וּנִי (רָא֣וּ) ra.'U. “they saw”

When the ear heard [supplied: me], then it blessed me, and when the eye saw [supplied: me], it gave witness to me;

רָ֝אֲתָ֗ה ra.'a.Tah “it saw”

Doth not he see my ways, and number all my steps?

יִרְאֶ֣ה yir.'Eh “does he see”

If I have seen any perishing for want of clothing, or any needy without covering;

אֶרְאֶ֣ה 'er.'Eh “I saw”

If I have lifted up my hand against an orphan, because I saw my help in the gate:

אֶרְאֶ֥ה 'er.'Eh “I saw”

If I beheld the sun when it shone, or the moon walking in brightness,

אֶרְאֶ֣ה 'er.'Eh “I saw”

And Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger was kindled.

וַיַּ֤רְא (יַּ֤רְא) i.Yar' “he saw”

His flesh is consumed away from view, and his bones that were not seen stick out;

רֻאּֽוּ׃ ru'.'U “they were seen”

He shall pray unto +God, and he will receive him with favour; and he shall see his face with shoutings, and he will render unto man his righteousness.

וַיַּ֣רְא (יַּ֣רְא) i.Yar' “he saw”

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his steps.

יִרְאֶֽה׃ yir.'Eh “he sees”

He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others,

רֹאִֽים׃ ro.'Im “[those who] see”

Look unto the heavens and see; and survey the skies: they are higher than thou.

וּרְאֵ֑ה (רְאֵ֑ה) re.'Eh “see”

And now [supplied: men] see not the light as it gleameth, it is [supplied: hidden] in the skies. But the wind passeth by and cleareth them.

רָ֤אוּ Ra.'u “people see”

Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.

יִ֝רְאֶ֗ה yir.'Eh “he sees”

Have the gates of death been revealed unto thee? and hast thou seen the gates of the shadow of death?

תִּרְאֶֽה׃ tir.'Eh “have you seen?”

Hast thou entered into the storehouses of the snow, and hast thou seen the treasuries of the hail,

תִּרְאֶֽה׃ tir.'Eh “have you seen?”

Cast abroad the ragings of thine anger, and look on every one that is proud, and abase him:

וּרְאֵ֥ה (רְאֵ֥ה) re.'Eh “see”

Look on every one that is proud, bring him low, and tread down the wicked in their place:

רְאֵ֣ה re.'Eh “see”
