Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly;

קִרְא֥וּ kir.'U “call”

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered; for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those that escape, as Jehovah hath said, and among the remnant those whom Jehovah doth call.

יִקְרָ֛א yik.Ra' “he will call”קֹרֵֽא׃ ko.Re' “[will be] calling”

[supplied: seek him] that maketh the Pleiades and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night; that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth (Jehovah is his name);

הַקּוֹרֵ֣א (קּוֹרֵ֣א) ko.Re' “[one who] summons”

Thus the Lord Jehovah showed me: and, behold, the Lord Jehovah called to content by fire; and it devoured the great deep, and would have eaten up the land.

קֹרֵ֛א ko.Re' “[was] calling”

[supplied: it is] he that buildeth his chambers in the heavens, and hath founded his vault upon the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth; Jehovah is his name.

הַקֹּרֵ֣א (קֹּרֵ֣א) ko.Re' “summons”

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

קְרָ֣א ke.Ra' “call”

Wherefore they cried unto Jehovah, and said, We beseech thee, O Jehovah, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood; for thou, O Jehovah, hast done as it pleased thee.

וַיִּקְרְא֨וּ (יִּקְרְא֨וּ) i.yik.re.'U “they called out”

And he said, I called by reason of mine affliction unto Jehovah, And he answered me; Out of the belly of Sheol cried I, [supplied: And] thou heardest my voice.

קָ֠רָאתִי Ka.ra.ti “I called”

And the people of Nineveh believed God; and they proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

וַיִּקְרְאוּ־ (יִּקְרְאוּ) i.yik.re.'u- “they proclaimed”

but let them be covered with sackcloth, both man and beast, and let them cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in his hands.

וְיִקְרְא֥וּ (יִקְרְא֥וּ) yik.re.'U “let them call out”

The voice of Jehovah crieth unto the city, and [supplied: the man of] wisdom will see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.

יִקְרָ֔א yik.Ra' “it calls out”

Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord Jehovah; for the day of Jehovah is at hand: for Jehovah hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath consecrated his guests.

קְרֻאָֽיו׃ (קְרֻאָֽי) ke.ru.'A “invited [ones]”

For then will I turn to the peoples of a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Jehovah, to serve him with one consent.

לִקְרֹ֤א (קְרֹ֤א) k.Ro' “call”

And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the grain, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labor of the hands.

וָאֶקְרָ֨א (אֶקְרָ֨א) 'ek.Ra' “I have summoned”

In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, shall ye invite every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig-tree.

תִּקְרְא֖וּ tik.re.'U “you will invite”

And it is come to pass that, as he cried, and they would not hear, so they shall cry, and I will not hear, said Jehovah of hosts;

קָרָ֖א ka.Ra' “he called”יִקְרְאוּ֙ yik.re.'U “they called”

Thus saith Jehovah: I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth; and the mountain of Jehovah of hosts, The holy mountain.

וְנִקְרְאָ֤ה (נִקְרְאָ֤ה) nik.re.'Ah “it will be called”

And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.
