Hearken unto me, Jacob, and [supplied: thou] Israel, my called. I [supplied: am] HE; I, the first, and I, the last.

מְקֹרָאִ֑י (מְקֹרָאִ֑) me.ko.ra.' “called [one]”

Yea, my hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spread abroad the heavens: I call unto them, they stand up together.

קֹרֵ֥א ko.Re' “[am] calling”

I, [supplied: even] I, have spoken; yea, I have called him; I have brought him, and his way shall be prosperous.

קְרָאתִ֑יו (קְרָאתִ֑י) ke.ra.Ti “I have summoned”

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye peoples from afar. Jehovah hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

קְרָאָ֔נִי (קְרָאָ֔) ke.ra.'A. “he called”

Wherefore did I come, and there was no man? I called, and there was none to answer? Is my hand at all shortened that I cannot redeem, or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make rivers a wilderness; their fish stink because there is no water, and die for thirst.

קָרָֽאתִי֮ ka.ra.Ti “did I call?”

Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bore you; for I called him when he was alone, and blessed him, and multiplied him.

קְרָאתִ֔יו (קְרָאתִ֔י) ke.ra.Ti “I called”

For Jehovah hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and as a wife of youth, that hath been refused, saith thy God.

קְרָאָ֣ךְ (קְרָאָ֣) ke.ra.'A “he will call”

Behold, thou shalt call a nation thou knowest not, and a nation [supplied: that] knew not thee shall run unto thee, because of Jehovah thy God, and the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

תִּקְרָ֔א tik.Ra' “you will call”

Seek ye Jehovah while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.

קְרָאֻ֖הוּ (קְרָאֻ֖) ke.ra.'U. “call on”

Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger and the unjust speech,

תִּקְרָא֙ tik.Ra' “you will call”

none calleth for justice, none pleadeth in truthfulness. They trust in vanity, and speak falsehood; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

קֹרֵ֣א ko.Re' “[is one who] calls”

and there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee; for thou hast hidden thy face from us, and hast caused us to melt away through our iniquities.

קוֹרֵ֣א ko.Re' “[is one who] calls”

I will even assign you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down in the slaughter; because I called, and ye did not answer, I spoke, and ye did not hear; but ye did what was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delight not.

קָרָ֙אתִי֙ ka.Ra.ti “I called”

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

יִקְרָ֖אוּ yik.Ra.'u “they will call”

I also will choose their calamities, and will bring their fears upon them; because I called, and none answered, I spoke, and they did not hear, but did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delight not.

קָרָ֙אתִי֙ ka.Ra.ti “I called”

For behold, I am calling all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith Jehovah, and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah:

קֹרֵ֗א ko.Re' “[am] summoning”

Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?

קָרָ֥את ka.ra.ti “have you called”

Reprobate silver shall they call them, for Jehovah hath rejected them.

קָרְא֖וּ ka.re.'U “people called”

And now, because ye have done all these works, saith Jehovah, and I spoke unto you, rising up early and speaking, and ye heard not, and I called you, and ye answered not;

וָאֶקְרָ֥א (אֶקְרָ֥א) 'ek.Ra' “I called”

And thou shalt speak all these words unto them, but they will not hearken unto thee; and thou shalt call unto them, but they will not answer thee.

וְקָרָ֥אתָ (קָרָ֥אתָ) ka.Ra.ta “you will call”

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider, and call for the mourning women, that they may come, and send for the skilful women, that they may come;

וְקִרְא֥וּ (קִרְא֥וּ) kir.'U “summon”

Pour out thy fury upon the nations that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name; for they have eaten up Jacob, yea, they have eaten him up and consumed him, and have laid waste his dwelling-place.

קָרָ֑אוּ ka.Ra.'u “they have called”

And thou, pray not for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; for I will not hear in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

קָרְאָ֥ם (קָרְאָ֥) ka.re.'A “call out”

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell in safety; and this is his name whereby he shall be called, Jehovah our Righteousness.

יִקְרְא֖וֹ (יִקְרְא֖) yik.re.' “anyone will call”

For behold, I begin to bring evil on the city that is called by my name, and should ye be altogether unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished; for I call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Jehovah of hosts.

נִֽקְרָא־ nik.ra'- “it is called”קֹרֵא֙ ko.Re' “[am] calling”
