I opened to my beloved; But my beloved had withdrawn himself; he was gone: My soul went forth when he spoke. I sought him, but I found him not; I called him, but he gave me no answer.

קְרָאתִ֖יו (קְרָאתִ֖י) ke.ra.Ti “I called”

Bring no more vain oblations! Incense is an abomination unto me, -- new moon and sabbath, the calling of convocations -- wickedness and the solemn meeting I cannot bear.

קְרֹ֣א ke.Ro' “[the] calling of”

And one called to the other and said, Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!

וְקָרָ֨א (קָרָ֨א) ka.Ra' “he called”

And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

הַקּוֹרֵ֑א (קּוֹרֵ֑א) ko.Re' “[one who] called”

For before the lad knoweth to cry, My father! and, My mother! the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.

קְרֹ֖א ke.Ro' “to call out”

And in that day shall ye say, Give ye thanks to Jehovah, call upon his name, declare his deeds among the peoples, make mention that his name is exalted.

קִרְא֣וּ kir.'U “call”

I have commanded my hallowed ones, I have also called my mighty men for mine anger, them that rejoice in my highness.

קָרָ֤אתִי ka.Ra.ti “I have summoned”

The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?

קֹרֵ֣א ko.Re' “[someone is] calling”

And in that day did the Lord Jehovah of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth;

וַיִּקְרָ֗א (יִּקְרָ֗א) i.yik.Ra' “he called”

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkijah;

וְקָרָ֣אתִי (קָרָ֣אתִי) ka.Ra.ti “I will summon”

For thus hath Jehovah said unto me: Like as the lion and the young lion growling over his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, is not afraid of their voice, nor giveth way before the multitude of them; so will Jehovah of hosts come down to war upon mount Zion, and on the hill thereof.

יִקָּרֵ֤א yi.ka.Re' “it is summoned”

And there shall the beasts of the desert meet with the jackals, and the wild goat shall cry to his fellow; the lilith also shall settle there, and find for herself a place of rest.

יִקְרָ֑א yik.Ra' “it will call”

Speak to the heart of Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her time of suffering is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she hath received of Jehovah's hand double for all her sins.

וְקִרְא֣וּ (קִרְא֣וּ) kir.'U “proclaim”

Lift up your eyes on high, and see! Who hath created these things, bringing out their host by number? He calleth them all by name; through the greatness of his might and strength of power, not one faileth.

יִקְרָ֔א yik.Ra' “he calls”

Who raised up from the east him whom righteousness calleth to its foot? He gave the nations before him, and caused him to have dominion over kings; he gave them as dust to his sword, as driven stubble to his bow.

יִקְרָאֵ֣הוּ (יִקְרָאֵ֣) yik.ra.'E. “he calls”

Who hath wrought and done [supplied: it], calling the generations from the beginning? I, Jehovah, the first; and with the last, I [supplied: am] HE.

קֹרֵ֥א ko.Re' “calling forth”

-- thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from the extremities thereof, and to whom I said, Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee and not rejected thee,

קְרָאתִ֑יךָ (קְרָאתִ֑י) ke.ra.Ti. “I called”

I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come, -- from the rising of the sun, he who will call upon my name; and he shall come upon princes as on mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.

יִקְרָ֣א yik.Ra' “he will call”

I, Jehovah, have called thee in righteousness, and will take hold of thy hand; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the nations,

קְרָאתִ֥יךָֽ (קְרָאתִ֥י) ke.ra.Ti. “I have called”

But now thus saith Jehovah, that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called [supplied: thee] by thy name; thou art mine.

קָרָ֥אתִי ka.Ra.ti “I have called [you]”

-- But thou hast not called upon me, Jacob; for thou hast been weary of me, O Israel:

קָרָ֖אתָ ka.Ra.ta “you have called on”

One shall say, I am Jehovah's; and another shall call [supplied: himself] by the name of Jacob; and another shall write with his hand: [supplied: I am] Jehovah's, and surname [supplied: himself] by the name of Israel.

יִקְרָ֣א yik.Ra' “he will call out”

and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places; that thou mayest know that I, Jehovah, who call thee by name, [supplied: am] the God of Israel.

הַקּוֹרֵ֥א (קּוֹרֵ֥א) ko.Re' “calls”

For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have called thee by thy name; I surnamed thee, though thou didst not know me;

וָאֶקְרָ֤א (אֶקְרָ֤א) 'ek.Ra' “I summoned”

calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. Yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

קֹרֵ֤א ko.Re' “[one who] calls”
