For the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

פֹּרְשִׂ֣ים po.re.Sim “spreading out”

And he stood before the altar of Jehovah in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands;

וַיִּפְרֹ֖שׂ (יִּפְרֹ֖שׂ) i.yif.Ros “he spread out”

(for Solomon had made a brazen scaffold, five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven;)

וַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂ (יִּפְרֹ֥שׂ) i.yif.Ros “he spread out”

what prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, who shall know every man his own plague and his own sorrow, and shall spread forth his hands toward this house:

וּפָרַ֥שׂ (פָרַ֥שׂ) fa.Ras “he will spread out”

And at the evening oblation I arose up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe rent; and I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto Jehovah my God;

וָאֶפְרְשָׂ֥ה (אֶפְרְשָׂ֥) 'ef.re.Sa “I spread out”

If thou set thy heart aright, And stretch out thy hands toward him;

וּפָרַשְׂתָּ֖ (פָרַשְׂתָּ֖) fa.ras.Ta “you will spread out”

Behold, he spreadeth his light around him; And he covereth the bottom of the sea.

פָּרַ֣שׂ pa.Ras “he spreads out”

Is it by thy wisdom that the hawk soareth, (And) stretcheth her wings toward the south?

יִפְרֹ֖שׂ yif.Ros “does it spread out?”

If we have forgotten the name of our God, Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;

וַנִּפְרֹ֥שׂ (נִּפְרֹ֥שׂ) nif.Ros “we had spread out”

When the Almighty scattered kings therein, [supplied: It was as when] it snoweth in Zalmon.

בְּפָ֘רֵ֤שׂ (פָ֘רֵ֤שׂ) Fa.Res “scatters”

He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light in the night.

פָּרַ֣שׂ pa.Ras “he spread out”

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set gins for me. Selah

פָּ֣רְשׂוּ Pa.re.su “they have spread”

I spread forth my hands unto thee: My soul [supplied: thirsteth] after thee, as a weary land. Selah

פֵּרַ֣שְׂתִּי pe.Ras.ti “I have spread out”

Every prudent man worketh with knowledge; But a fool flaunteth [supplied: his] folly.

יִפְרֹ֥שׂ yif.Ros “he spreads out”

A man that flattereth his neighbor Spreadeth a net for his steps.

פּוֹרֵ֥שׂ po.Res “[is] spreading”

She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; Yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

פָּרְשָׂ֣ה pa.re.Sah “she spreads out”

And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

וּבְפָרִשְׂכֶ֣ם (פָרִשְׂ) fa.ris. “spread out”

And the fishers shall lament, and all they that cast angle into the Nile shall mourn, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.

וּפֹרְשֵׂ֥י (פֹרְשֵׂ֥י) fo.re.Sei “[those who] spread out”

And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst thereof, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth [supplied: his hands] to swim; but [supplied: Jehovah] will lay low his pride together with the craft of his hands.

Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not strengthen the foot of their mast, they could not spread the sail: then was the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame took the prey.

פָּ֣רְשׂוּ Pa.re.su “they have spread out”

And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up unto the house of Jehovah, and spread it before Jehovah.

I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, that walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;

For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that gaspeth for breath, that spreadeth her hands, [supplied: saying], Woe is me now! for my soul fainteth before the murderers.

תְּפָרֵ֣שׂ te.fa.Res “she is spreading out”

For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread out his wings against Moab.

וּפָרַ֥שׂ (פָרַ֥שׂ) fa.Ras “he will spread out”

Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread out his wings against Bozrah: and the heart of the mighty men of Edom at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

וְיִפְרֹ֥שׂ (יִפְרֹ֥שׂ) yif.Ros “he may spread out”
