For the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, [supplied: is] he that toucheth the land and it melteth, and all that dwell therein shall mourn; and it shall rise up wholly like the River, and shall sink again, like the River of Egypt;

וְעָלְתָ֤ה (עָלְתָ֤ה) 'al.Tah “it rises”

And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be Jehovah's.

וְעָל֤וּ (עָל֤וּ) 'a.Lu “they will go up”

Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

עָלְתָ֥ה 'al.Tah “it has come up”

And Jehovah God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shade over his head, to deliver him from his evil case. So Jonah was exceeding glad because of the gourd.

וַיַּ֣עַל׀ (יַּ֣עַל) i.Ya.'al “it went up”

But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd, that it withered.

בַּעֲל֥וֹת (עֲל֥וֹת) 'a.Lot “came up”

The breaker is gone up before them: they have broken forth and passed on to the gate, and are gone out thereat; and their king is passed on before them, and Jehovah at the head of them.

עָלָ֤ה 'a.Lah “he will go up”

And many nations shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem;

וְנַעֲלֶ֣ה (נַעֲלֶ֣ה) na.'a.Leh “we may go up”

He that dasheth in pieces is come up against thee: keep the fortress, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.

עָלָ֥ה 'a.Lah “he has come up”

the horseman mounting, and the flashing sword, and the glittering spear, and a multitude of slain, and a great heap of corpses, and there is no end of the bodies; they stumble upon their bodies;-

מַעֲלֶ֗ה ma.'a.Leh “bringing up”

I heard, and my body trembled, My lips quivered at the voice; Rottenness entereth into my bones, and I tremble in my place; Because I must wait quietly for the day of trouble, For the coming up of the people that invadeth us.

לַעֲל֖וֹת (עֲל֖וֹת) 'a.Lot “come up”

Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith Jehovah.

עֲל֥וּ 'a.Lu “go up”

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

וְעָל֞וּ (עָל֞וּ) 'a.Lu “they will go up”

And it shall be, that whoso of [supplied: all] the families of the earth goeth not up unto Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts, upon them there shall be no rain.

יַעֲלֶ֜ה ya.'a.Leh “he will go up”

And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, neither [supplied: shall it be] upon them; there shall be the plague wherewith Jehovah will smite the nations that go not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

תַעֲלֶ֛ה ta.'a.Leh “it will go up”יַֽעֲל֔וּ ya.'a.Lu “they will go up”

This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that go not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
