Let the heathen be awakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen on every side.

מִסָּבִֽיב׃ (סָּבִֽיב) sa.Viv “round about”

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even around the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be plundered.

וּסְבִ֣יב (סְבִ֣יב) se.Viv “around”

Art thou better than populous No, that was situated among the rivers, that had the waters around it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?

סָבִ֣יב sa.Viv “[was] all around”

For I, saith the LORD, will be to her a wall of fire on every side, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and her cities around her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?

סְבִיבֹתֶ֑יהָ (סְבִיבֹתֶ֑י) se.vi.vo.Tei. “around”

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the people around, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

In that day will I make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people around, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen around shall be collected, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
