He gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.

וְהַלְוִיִּֽם׃ (לְוִיִּֽם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

The Levites were numbered from thirty years old and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.

הַלְוִיִּ֔ם (לְוִיִּ֔ם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

and also the Levites shall no more have need to carry the tent and all the vessels of it for the service of it.

לַלְוִיִּ֑ם (לְוִיִּ֑ם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers' [supplied: houses] of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers' house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers' houses.

הַלְוִיִּ֖ם (לְוִיִּ֖ם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

These likewise cast lots even as their brothers the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers' [supplied: houses] of the priests and of the Levites; the fathers' [supplied: houses] of the chief even as those of his younger brother.

Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the store-house two and two.

Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

also for the divisions of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of Yahweh, and for all the vessels of service in the house of Yahweh;

וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם (לְוִיִּ֔ם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

Behold, there are the divisions of the priests and the Levites, for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with you in all manner of work every willing man who has skill, for any manner of service: also the captains and all the people will be entirely at your command.

All the elders of Israel came: and the Levites took up the ark;

and they brought up the ark, and the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent; these did the priests the Levites bring up.

also the Levites who were the singers, all of them, even Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and their brothers, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them one hundred twenty priests sounding with trumpets;)

The priests stood, according to their offices; the Levites also with instruments of music of Yahweh, which David the king had made to give thanks to Yahweh, (for his loving kindness endures for ever), when David praised by their ministry: and the priests sounded trumpets before them; and all Israel stood.

וְהַלְוִיִּ֞ם (לְוִיִּ֞ם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

He appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the divisions of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise, and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required; the doorkeepers also by their divisions at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

They didn't depart from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

וְהַלְוִיִּ֛ם (לְוִיִּ֛ם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

The priests and the Levites who were in all Israel resorted to him out of all their border.

וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם (לְוִיִּ֔ם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons cast them off, that they should not execute the priest's office to Yahweh;

Haven't you driven out the priests of Yahweh, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and made you priests after the manner of the peoples of [supplied: other] lands? so that whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams, the same may be a priest of [supplied: those who are] no gods.

But as for us, Yahweh is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and [supplied: we have] priests ministering to Yahweh, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites in their work:

וְהַלְוִיִּ֖ם (לְוִיִּ֖ם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

and with them the Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah, the Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, the priests.

Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites and the priests, and of the heads of the fathers' [supplied: houses] of Israel, for the judgment of Yahweh, and for controversies. They returned to Jerusalem.

הַלְוִיִּ֣ם (לְוִיִּ֣ם) l.vi.Yim “Levites”

Behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of Yahweh; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, in all the king's matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and Yahweh be with the good.

Then on Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, the Levite, of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of Yahweh in the midst of the assembly;

The Levites, of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites, stood up to praise Yahweh, the God of Israel, with an exceeding loud voice.
