The dead praise not Jehovah, Neither any that go down into silence;

יֹרְדֵ֥י yo.re.Dei “[those who] go down of”

Streams of water run down mine eyes, Because they observe not thy law.

יָרְד֣וּ ya.re.Du “they have gone down”

It is like the precious oil upon the head, That ran down upon the beard, Even Aaron's beard; That came down upon the skirt of his garments;

יֹרֵ֗ד yo.Red “running down”שֶׁ֝יֹּרֵ֗ד (יֹּרֵ֗ד) yo.Red “[is] running down”

Like the dew of Hermon, That cometh down upon the mountains of Zion: For there Jehovah commanded the blessing, Even life for evermore. Psalm 134 A Song of Ascents.

שֶׁיֹּרֵד֮ (יֹּרֵד֮) yo.Red “[is] running down”

Make haste to answer me, O Jehovah; my spirit faileth: Hide not thy face from me, Lest I become like them that go down into the pit.

יֹ֥רְדֵי Yo.re.dei “[those who] go down of”

Bow thy heavens, O Jehovah, and come down: Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

וְתֵרֵ֑ד (תֵרֵ֑ד) te.Red “you may come down”

Let us swallow them up alive as Sheol, And whole, as those that go down into the pit;

כְּי֣וֹרְדֵי (י֣וֹרְדֵי) Yor.dei “[those who] go down of”

Her feet go down to death; Her steps take hold on Sheol;

יֹרְד֣וֹת yo.re.Dot “[are] going down”

Her house is the way to Sheol, Going down to the chambers of death.

יֹ֝רְד֗וֹת yo.re.Dot “[which] go down”

The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts.

יָרְד֥וּ ya.re.Du “they go down”

A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, And bringeth down the strength of the confidence thereof.

וַ֝יֹּ֗רֶד (יֹּ֗רֶד) i.Yo.red “he brought down”

The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts.

יָרְד֥וּ ya.re.Du “they go down”

Who hath ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in his garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou knowest?

וַיֵּרַ֡ד (יֵּרַ֡ד) i.ye.Rad “has he come down?”

Who knoweth the spirit of man, whether it goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast, whether it goeth downward to the earth?

הַיֹּרֶ֥דֶת (יֹּרֶ֥דֶת) yo.Re.det “is going down”

My beloved is gone down to his garden, To the beds of spices, To feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

יָרַ֣ד ya.Rad “he has gone down”

I went down into the garden of nuts, To see the green plants of the valley, To see whether the vine budded, [supplied: And] the pomegranates were in flower.

יָרַ֔דְתִּי ya.Rad.ti “I went down”

Therefore Sheol hath enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth among them, descend [supplied: into it].

וְיָרַ֨ד (יָרַ֨ד) ya.Rad “it will go down”

For he hath said, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I have understanding: and I have removed the bounds of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures, and like a valiant man I have brought down them that sit [supplied: on thrones]:

וְאוֹרִ֥יד (אוֹרִ֥יד) 'o.Rid “I may bring down”

Thy pomp is brought down to Sheol, [supplied: and] the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and worms cover thee.

הוּרַ֥ד hu.Rad “it has been brought down”

Yet thou shalt be brought down to Sheol, to the uttermost parts of the pit.

תּוּרָ֖ד tu.Rad “you have been brought down”

But thou art cast forth away from thy sepulchre like an abominable branch, clothed with the slain, that are thrust through with the sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a dead body trodden under foot.

יוֹרְדֵ֥י yor.Dei “[who] go down”

In their streets they gird themselves with sackcloth; on their housetops, and in their broad places, every one waileth, weeping abundantly.

יֹרֵ֥ד yo.Red “going down”

that set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt!

לָרֶ֣דֶת (רֶ֣דֶת) Re.det “go down”

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek Jehovah!

הַיֹּרְדִ֤ים (יֹּרְדִ֤ים) yo.re.Dim “[who] go down”

For thus saith Jehovah unto me, As the lion and the young lion growling over his prey, if a multitude of shepherds be called forth against him, will not be dismayed at their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so will Jehovah of hosts come down to fight upon mount Zion, and upon the hill thereof.

יֵרֵד֙ ye.Red “he will come down”
