A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil; But the fool beareth himself insolently, and is confident.

יָ֭רֵא Ya.re' “[is] fearing”

Grace is deceitful, and beauty is vain; [supplied: But] a woman that feareth Jehovah, she shall be praised.

יִרְאַת־ yir.'at- “fearing”

It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from that withdraw not thy hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth from them all.

יְרֵ֥א ye.Re' “[one] fearing”

Though a sinner do evil a hundred times, and prolong his [supplied: days], yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, that fear before him:

לְיִרְאֵ֣י (יִרְאֵ֣י) yir.'Ei “[those] fearing”

but it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong [supplied: his] days, [supplied: which are] as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

יָרֵ֖א ya.Re' “he has feared”

All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth and to him that sacrificeth not; as is the good, so is the sinner; [supplied: and] he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

Who is among you that feareth Jehovah, that obeyeth the voice of his servant? he that walketh in darkness, and hath no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah, and rely upon his God.

יְרֵ֣א ye.Re' “[is] fearing”

Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith Jehovah: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

יְרֵאִ֖ים ye.re.'Im “[are] afraid”

then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye fear, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt; and the famine, whereof ye are afraid, shall follow hard after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.

And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your food and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse looking than the youths that are of your own age? so would ye endanger my head with the king.

יָרֵ֤א ya.Re' “[am] fearing”

And he said unto them, I am a Hebrew; and I fear Jehovah, the God of heaven, who hath made the sea and the dry land.

Then they that feared Jehovah spake one with another; and Jehovah hearkened, and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before him, for them that feared Jehovah, and that thought upon his name.

But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings; and ye shall go forth, and gambol as calves of the stall.
