And the men turned thence, and went towards Sodom; and Abraham remained yet standing before Jehovah.

יְהוָֽה׃ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Jehovah said, If I find at Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will forgive all the place for their sakes.

יְהוָ֔ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Jehovah went away when he had ended speaking to Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.

יְהוָ֔ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

For we are going to destroy this place, because the cry of them is great before Jehovah, and Jehovah has sent us to destroy it.

יְהוָ֔ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”יְהוָ֖ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Lot went out, and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, Up, go out of this place, for Jehovah will destroy the city. But he was as if he jested, in the sight of his sons-in-law.

יְהוָ֖ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And as he lingered, the men laid hold on his hand, and on the hand of his wife, and on the hand of his two daughters, Jehovah being merciful to him; and they led him out, and set him without the city.

יְהוָ֖ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Jehovah rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven,

וַֽיהוָ֗ה (יהוָ֗ה) Yah.weh “Yahweh”יְהוָ֖ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Abraham rose early in the morning [supplied: and went] to the place where he had stood before Jehovah;

יְהוָֽה׃ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

For Jehovah had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah Abraham's wife.

יְהוָ֔ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Jehovah visited Sarah as he had said, and Jehovah did to Sarah as he had spoken.

וַֽיהוָ֛ה (יהוָ֛ה) Yah.weh “Yahweh”יְהוָ֛ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And [supplied: Abraham] planted a tamarisk in Beer-sheba, and called there on the name of Jehovah, the Eternal God.

יְהוָ֖ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And the Angel of Jehovah called to him from the heavens, and said, Abraham, Abraham! And he said, Here am I.

יְהוָה֙ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh; as it is said at the present day, On the mount of Jehovah will be provided.

יְהוָ֣ה׀ Yah.weh “Yahweh”יְהוָ֖ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And the Angel of Jehovah called to Abraham from the heavens a second time,

יְהוָ֖ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

and said, By myself I swear, saith Jehovah, that, because thou hast done this, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only [supplied: son],

יְהוָ֑ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Abraham was old, [supplied: and] advanced in age; and Jehovah had blessed Abraham in all things.

וַֽיהוָ֛ה (יהוָ֛ה) Yah.weh “Yahweh”

and I will make thee swear by Jehovah, the God of the heavens and the God of the earth, that thou take not a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I am dwelling;

בַּֽיהוָה֙ (יהוָה֙) Yah.weh “Yahweh”

Jehovah the God of the heavens, who took me out of my father's house, and out of the land of my nativity, and who has spoken to me, and who has sworn to me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land -- he will send his angel before thee, that thou mayest take a wife for my son thence.

יְהוָ֣ה׀ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And he said, Jehovah, God of my master Abraham, meet me, I pray thee, [supplied: with thy blessing] this day, and deal kindly with my master Abraham.

יְהוָ֗ה Yah.weh “O Yahweh”

And the man was astonished at her, remaining silent, to know whether Jehovah had made his journey prosperous or not.

יְהוָ֛ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And the man stooped, and bowed down before Jehovah,

לַֽיהוָֽה׃ (יהוָֽה) Yah.weh “Yahweh”

and said, Blessed be Jehovah, God of my master Abraham, who has not withdrawn his loving-kindness and his faithfulness from my master; I being in the way, Jehovah has led me to the house of my master's brethren.

יְהוָה֙ Yah.weh “Yahweh”יְהוָ֔ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And he said, Come in, blessed of Jehovah! why standest thou outside? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.

יְהוָ֑ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Jehovah has blessed my master greatly, and he is become great; and he has given him sheep and cattle, and silver and gold, and bondmen and bondwomen, and camels and asses.

וַיהוָ֞ה (יהוָ֞ה) Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And he said to me, Jehovah, before whom I have walked, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way, that thou mayest take a wife for my son of my family, and out of my father's house.

יְהוָ֞ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”
