Instead of your shame [supplied: you shall have] double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them.

חֶלְקִ֤י (חֶלְקִ֤) chel.K “[is] portion”

[supplied: Whatever is] for the prince [supplied: shall be] on the one side and on the other side of the holy offering and of the possession of the city, in front of the holy offering and in front of the possession of the city, on the west side westward, and on the east side eastward; and in length answerable to one of the portions, from the west border to the east border.

By the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the offering which you shall offer, twenty-five thousand [supplied: reeds] in breadth, and in length as one of the portions, from the east side to the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.

The residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy offering and of the possession of the city; in front of the twenty-five thousand of the offering toward the east border, and westward in front of the twenty-five thousand toward the west border, answerable to the portions, it shall be for the prince: and the holy offering and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst of it.

They are unfaithful to Yahweh; For they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields.

Thus the Lord Yahweh showed me and, behold, the Lord Yahweh called for judgment by fire; and it dried up the great deep, and would have devoured the land.

In that day they will take up a parable against you, And lament with a doleful lamentation, saying, 'We are utterly ruined! My people's possession is divided up. Indeed he takes it from me and assigns our fields to traitors!'"

Yahweh will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.
